I am following up to a post i made a while back. Basically, I lost sensation on a large portion of one side of my penis and scrotum. Id say 60% of my penis doesnt feel normal. I am pretty sure it can be attributed to a herniated disk in my back that probably irritated the nerve.

I have been to about 6 doctors now for my back and this problem of all sorts of specialties. All of them attribute it to my disk and say theres not much that can be done. I am 21 and this is a huge burden on me.

My back pain/sciatica is almost non-existent after some physical therapy and spinal decompression.

I am really having a hard time coping with this. Instead of providing sexual sensations, i get an uncomfortable light pinching. I think about it a lot because i feel the pinching sort of sensation throughout the day and I really get down about it. I almost dont like it getting touched or handled by my girl because of this awkward feeling and it reminds me that something is wrong down there.

During sex, I am constantly thinking about how it doesnt feel normal and its uncomfortable. Its also hard to orgasm lately.

I have noticed some improvement over the 6 months ive had this issue but I feel it has plateaued and am worried it wont heal completely. the scrotum seems to be pretty close to normal and i can live with it the way it is. The shaft and head went from having no sensation to having some touch sensation (but nothing erotic/sensual from it)

Is there anything I can do at this stage? Ive heard that b vitamins and some other herbs can help and I may try this.

    On another note:
This is very hard for me because i was hoping to do foreskin restoration in the near future and gain some sensitivity but that might never be possible for me anymore.

Are you cut? This can have a lot to do with it.

Yes I am cut, and have done some restoring in the past. I know this aspect has caused diminished sensitivity but it definitely has something to do with the back or something else because one side feels normal, the other has hardly any sensation.

you need to get in contact with a sexual therapist specializing in spinal injuries. a quick google search will pull up a list of support forums and message boards. read around until you find something that will work for you.

there are a few options like medication, PT and electro-stim therapies.

    also google neurological sexual dysfunction.

I'm not a doctor, but I think you're right about a nerve impingement because you say it's a one-side thing.

Definitely go to a spinal specialist.
