Controversial Host Lou Dobbs Quits CNN

Is there any doubt Faux News will find a place for a certified Birther? Though if he heads over to Faux he may have to duke it out with Geraldo.....

A Fox News spokesman said Wednesday that the network has had no discussions with Dobbs. After rumors last month that Dobbs might be headed to that network, Fox's Geraldo Rivera, a frequent Dobbs critic, said, "Lou Dobbs is almost single-handedly responsible for creating, for being the architect of the young-Latino-as-scapegoat for everything that ails this country," Rivera said.

I'm sure Murdoch's sent his private jet to collect Dobbs and deliver him to Beverly Hills for the weekend for a little chat.

And who cares about Jerry Rivers? He can't pull in the numbers Dobbs can. He'll end-up like Mustafa.

    Of course.

Jon Stossel is fuckin' creepy and insane and "Libertarian" and Fox News scooped him up as soon as he left ABC.

Lou Dobbs as an "Independent" should fit quite nicely into the network's line that it's Fair and Balanced™ because it's not completely dominated by Republicans and conservatives.

I bet they'll stick him on the Fox Business Network so that they can give the garbled voice of Neil Cavuto a much needed break.

good riddence is all I can say. As the Washington Post stated, he has single handedly placed essentially all the blame for everything wrong in this country, on latinos. He's just an old cow that needed to be put out to pasture.

A move over to Faux, the Empire of Hate and Intolerance, is exactly where he belongs.

The New York Times reported Dobbs met with Roger Ailes, the president of Fox News, last month. The transition should be as smooth and orderly as a goose stepping column.

Good riddance to Lou. I agreed with him that ILLEGAL immigration is a serious problem, but when the Situation Room goes off these days, I have to find something else to watch, because I prefer my news without someone shouting at me telling me what I need to believe.

My other half ran into someone he knows at CNN today. It would appear this was not Mr. Dobbs decision to leave. You could knock me over with a feather. I wish I could repeat the conversation; but it ended more or less with "The balance will be returning to CNN News."

Lou Dobbs leaves CNN? Although a good thing it is not as good as hearing of the physical demise of Rupert Murdoch. But I'm patient and can wait out Rupert.

That pretty much sums it up, based on what I was told.

I concur. Considering there was even a petition online to drop Dobbs from CNN, which I signed btw, I can imagine his rants were wearing on people a bit.

I disagree that this means they are all faux news, it just means that you need to get your news from multiple sources, because if the news is subject to censorship based on ownership, you need to have multiple owners.

Faux news gets accused rightly, because they are showing blatant double standards and biases by serving the interests of the Republican Party. Reporting political ideology as news is painful.

Well, to be honest even our "liberal channels" can be pretty slanted. There's been a number of times where I thought Olbermann was stretching things just a bit to make a point. However, some of Fox's actions have been much more blatant that others. Case in point, the Daily Show vs. Hannity fiasco where it was found that stock footage was used in order to make a rally against health care look bigger than it was. Then again, you already know this so it's like preaching to the choir.

As for some noted anonymous forum trolls, however...

The thing is it would be one thing if they showed the crowd as background and never commented on it. But to point it out as a huge march based on the footage :mad1: Then again I would expect nothing less from Hannity.
