I went to school with Jacques and some of the rough guys he hung around did assault a gay guy in final year (Jacques wasn’t involved from what I remember) he kind of distanced himself and focused on his rugby.
He did throw around gay slurs but not any worse than many other straight kids (not that it makes it ok). I’ve had him on Instagram for years and he seems to have a completely different friendship group now. People do change.
(Although I noticed he curated his Instagram before entering the villa removing any ‘joking’ comments such as calling his team mates ‘benders’ etc.)
