As it is you could use more exposed skin than necessary to gain an advantage, and stay within the rules of this context. The rules could be more precise to make clear what kind of shot is expected, and what is allowed and what is not. That is certainly something to consider for future contests. However I think it's too late to add additional rules at this stage.
