I got the feeling it was me, because she quoted Shaps response to a post of mine in the thread.

So I wanted to clarify. I'm not bitching.. just hoping if there's another contest of this kind maybe there can be a way to encourage the votes to actually be based on the art.

Maybe I'd even enter. I have a few tats I could post, even if I came in last place it's still fun to show them off and talk about what inspired them.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with the people complaining about shots that show "too much" or not just the tattoo. I'll also get into a little bit of semantics here... the headline is for the "BEST" tattoo. However, the actual poll asks for our votes on our "FAVOURITE" tattoo (or "favorite" here on this side of the pond). It might sound picky, but "best" and "favorite" can be two very different things. I might see one that I think is "best," maybe it's the best design, executed better than the others, and such. But yet another one is my "favorite" because I have more appreciation for the thought that was put into its size, its placement, how it fits on her body, how it all works together in the "big picture." There might be one that works beautifully although it is not technically "the best" when just looking at a closeup of the individual tattoo. To me it's a huge difference... and I for one don't care what the actual tattoo looks like nearly as much as how much it accentuates the wearer.

No. If you look at each of the last contests you'll see what I meant. Little things. Mostly my fault but it's frustrating. The last contest I awarded a winner that technically didn't follow the rules. The contest before that the guy promoted himself on twitter. Just little things but to the people they impact it's not little and I understand that.

It's all in good fun. Indeed there is an absolute stunner of a body on display, but her ink is pretty sweet too. Stitch had my heart though. Such amazing colour saturation. I can't get away with colour on my skintone...my chocolate devours everything. Haha This is just a nice way to pass a bit of time.
