Didn't mean to make you paranoid, dude. In the States a lot of employers do monitor this. Was just concerned that you don't get nailed.

There seem to be a lot of really cool S.A. guys.

OK, I've seen it enough times. I've got to do a member look-up and see who this sam_solo26 guy is, if he's still listed.

Whoa.... got me paranoid there for a sec..... LOL. No my employer doesn't. But i think he suspects me of being a little 'left of the middle' anyway, and as such probably wouldn't mind... just so long as i get my work done first... and don't pick up any viruses whilst doing my 'unchecked and rampant browsing'!!!
Thanks for the compliment though.... they say we all have an identical twin out there somewhere.... i would (could) be Chase's.. ;) and yes, i agree, he is truly a 'thing of beauty'!!!

"i love sam_solo26" whether he looks like chace crawford or not!

Aaaahhhh LMFAO!!! Red Dude, you're too funny. Yeah we South Africans are pretty fucking awesome aren't we.... but most especially us Capetonians.
Go ahead and knock yourself out on 'ol Sam_solo26... but check out some of his more lengthy posts... i think that's where the love affair began.... intellectual collegic types always get my motor revving... especially when still in the youthful 'early' days of college where your lessons learned are so serious and everyone is wandering around in this solipsistic haze of 'it's all about me and what i can contribute' or 'this is how i define myself' or ' i am sexually fluid'......it's fantastic really!!!
RedDude... you now also rock my world.. thanks!

"i love sam_solo26" despite him being wet behind the ears.

I'm kind of random. Typically I check new threads before going to my control panel and checking the threads I'm already subscribed to. (I actually only recently discovered I can subscribe to threads without posting in them. Such a cyberklutz. Now I'm way oversubscribed.) Sometimes I check specific forums like Politics or Etc. to see if there's something new, fun or interesting. Sometimes a thread pops up in the sidebar and catches my eye. Sometimes I check the post history of members that interest me, and that leads me to other threads. There are lots of threads that make me roll my eyes, especially on stupid well-worn subjects. I have bitten my tongue many times. Gender (or race, or orientation, etc.) plays no part in my interest in a post unless it's pertinent to the point of view. I try not to let my personal bias toward a poster, positive or negative, color my response. I tend to edit fairly often, to refine or clarify the message, if I catch a typo, just to space it on the page better. I often forget what I've posted in a thread, even if it's only a few days old, definitely if it's much older. I typically respond to PM's later at night when I'm winding down.

Whaaa?? You can subscribe to threads?? I guess that'd negate having to manually check 'em for any responses to one's posts.

But then again I have the habit of logging off and clearing my browser of everything before turning off the machine. So I do a quick glance over of what topics of interests (mostly in etcetera and politics) have risen to the top before deciding if I want to log in or not.

1. ...have certain forums you immediately check and others you almost always ignore? I always check the womens issues first, etc, relantionships, sometimes sex with a large penis, funny stuff, sometimes I look in the show off area and the adult websites. I stay out of the personal ads, though I have posted when someone just does a roll call for the area and I see it on the side bar, I've visited celeb endowments only if I see something of interest pop up, same for underwear, clothing and fict. stories. I say hello on the intro thread sometimes as well.
2. ...do a quick browse of more interesting tidbits before even logging in?
No

3. ...start to reply to a thread then realize it's older than Methuselah?
No, I rarely notice how old something is.

lol

4. ...see checks next to threads you've posted to, but haven't a clue when or what you said? This is a possibility
5. ...click on a thread that looks like it's gonna be a hot one only to discover it was posted by someone of a gender other that what you had anticipated? (craps) Not really

6. ...go "oh shit, here we go again" at yet another "are black men bigger" thread? LMAO at those threads

7. ...come across some really shitty comment, then double check your "friends" list to make sure the person who posted it isn't among them? I have noticed the shitty comments but I just ignore them for the most part.

8. ...edit your post multiple times to "soften the blow", then edit again or two times more after you've posted it? I edit my post over and over as I re-read it and think that an intelligent person is never going to understand my ramblings.

9. [have you] ...bitten your tongue? What does that have to do with anything? And yes I have and it really hurts.

10. ...spend far more time here than what one would consider "healthy"?
Without a doubt, but I love it.

edit: 11. Have you started a thread then realized you've fucked up the name of the site. Not to my knowledge.

Edit: I just realized I took number 9 totally out of context. I have decided to leave my original answer and re- answer 9. Yes, I have bitten my tongue. I tend not to add something when I have nothing nice to say.

After being here awhile I find that I've developed certain browsing "habits". Check if you do any of these. Do you:

1. ...have certain forums you immediately check and others you almost always ignore?
I always go to Underwear, Clothing, and Appearance Issues. I'm a visual person, and have several clothes fetishes - namely underwear and athletic clothes. I usually don't make it to many other catagories.

2. ...do a quick browse of more interesting tidbits before even logging in?
N/A My computer logs me on automatically.

3. ...start to reply to a thread then realize it's older than Methuselah?
I've resurrected threads from years ago. I don't care if it's old if the subject is still releavant.

4. ...see checks next to threads you've posted to, but haven't a clue when or what you said?
Don't know about the checks. Never noticed them.

5. ...click on a thread that looks like it's gonna be a hot one only to discover it was posted by someone of a gender other that what you had anticipated? (craps)
It happens. No worries!

6. ...go "oh shit, here we go again" at yet another "are black men bigger" thread?
No. I only stop at threads that catch my eye. It doesn't bother me if there are 30 bulge threads. I don't get annoyed easily.

7. ...come across some really shitty comment, then double check your "friends" list to make sure the person who posted it isn't among them?
Haven't had that happen too often.

8. ...edit your post multiple times to "soften the blow", then edit again or two times more after you've posted it?
I only edit to correct grammatical, spelling, or typing errors.

9. [have you] ...bitten your tongue?
Sure! I come here for entertainment, not to hassle anyone. There have been times that I could have been a jerk and made a snappy comment, but what good does that do? If I don't like what I read, I grab the mouse and click. Life's too short for arguments over something trivial.

10. ...spend far more time here than what one would consider "healthy"?
I'm good with what I do. LPSG is more fun than the TV!

edit: 11. Have you started a thread then realized you've fucked up the name of the site?
No.

My responses in blue.

Do you:

1. ...have certain forums you immediately check and others you almost always ignore?

I'm quite anal - I just start at "New Member Introductions" and work my way down slowly to "Everything Else". I ignore "Penis Enlargement" (I'm small but I've accepted it), "Stories", "Webcams...", "Personal Ads" and the "Help and Support" forums.

In each forum, I check for any new threads I may be interested in and look at any threads I already follow that have updated since my previous visit.

2. ...do a quick browse of more interesting tidbits before even logging in?

No, I log-in straight away, read new 'Notifications' (if any), then hit the forums.

3. ...start to reply to a thread then realize it's older than Methuselah?

Yes, but I don't realize until AFTER I've posted my reply!

4. ...see checks next to threads you've posted to, but haven't a clue when or what you said?

Yes. I sometimes re-read them to see when and what.

5. ...click on a thread that looks like it's gonna be a hot one only to discover it was posted by someone of a gender other that what you had anticipated? (craps)

Sort of - it's sexuality rather than gender. I'll see a cock picture, make a very suggestive thread-post to the 'owner' then realize the guy is 100% straight! Thankfully, they've all been flattered and reacted nicely but I still try to avoid doing it.

6. ...go "oh shit, here we go again" at yet another "are black men bigger" thread?

Yes.

7. ...come across some really shitty comment, then double check your "friends" list to make sure the person who posted it isn't among them?

No - I only have five friends and they're all nice. Usually when I see a shitty comment, I get outraged and offended and then realize it was ME who posted it!

8. ...edit your post multiple times to "soften the blow", then edit again or two times more after you've posted it?

Yes, but not really to "soften", just to make my nonsensical rambling a little clearer!

9. [have you] ...bitten your tongue?

YES! A lot of people don't get my very twisted sense of humour and sarcasm. I once made a very un-PC joke in one of the "Black men bigger" threads and pissed a lot of people off! So I learned - the hard way - to keep my mouth (well, keyboard) shut. That's why I now do Habit #6.

Another time I bite my tongue is when I'm about to post a compliment on a "Here's my cock picture!" thread and then realize it's started by a straight guy (see my response to Habit #5).

I don't post sexual messages (private or visitor) to straight guys - what's the point?

10. ...spend far more time here than what one would consider "healthy"?

Absolutely! I come here twice a day. I end up taking 2-3 hours each time even it's only been a few hours since my last visit. That's why I skip the "Stories" forum - if I started reading the stories I'd be stuck here ALL DAY!

edit: 11. Have you started a thread then realized you've fucked up the name of the site?

No. My editing and re-editing is for my spelling and grammar as well as my ramble-clearing and post de-nonsensifying (if there is such a word ). Plus I don't really start threads.

^ I don't "get" your reply, sdbg. You've quoted my o.p. with (someone's) answers in green. It appears they are my responses.

My o.p. didn't have responses.
All the green answers are sdbg's.
I've seen others do this.
It's efficient but confusing.

EDIT: Ah, I see willow did the same thing, in blue ... with a clarifying note at top that removed all doubt about what he was doing.
