When I fist joined, I accepted all invitations and was like yeaa someone wants to be my room friend, even though i may have never typed or spoken with that person. After 6 months Iaccepted only if i had spoken to someone; and not just the usual " hey man nice wang" and i would reply Thnx.

If you are funny, respect the rights of others to enjoy the room in peace, and contribute something other than show wang; or hott cock. then we will see.

90% of the folks on my list I like a great deal, and not just the ones who I like to see nude (LOL) there are still about 10% that I have not spoken to in months or have left LPSG or are Banned, that i heve not removed as of yett.

I tend to add folks in if we have had at least a passing thought shared in the forums or the chat channels. Some quickly fall out of touch though and there has been/will be pruning soon. Call me fucked in the head, but a request to be friends is sorta like a face to face request to be friends - if it happens, it happens. If not, then not. That being said? Call me a very short friends list keeper too.

On Xtube, I approve all "friend" requests because I don't consider that site a social venue. I consider the requests to mean just "I like your videos," and I rarely have any further communication with any of the requesters. This site, by contrast, is a social venue, and I do have exchanges with people. So I only accept requests from people with whom I have had some undefined minimum of communication, either in the message boards or through private messages. If I accepted all requests, I would probably have several times as many "friends" here, and if I did not have a message in my signature expressly intended to discourage strangers from making such requests, I would have even more.

My "friends" list here does, however, include many people with whom I had some communication once but have not done so in a long time.

I delete all random "friend" requests on here. The only few people I do accept (or request myself) are people I have spoken with quite a bit, or know in real life. I see no reason to do otherwise? I see more sense in collecting pokemon, then lspg-"friends".. atleast the first can do neat tricks!

That been said, my friendlist does need a good clean-up again.

I did the usual thing of accepting virtually every request when I first joined. When the thick-dick-mist cleared, and I realised that I'd collected an extraordinarily large percentage of weirdos, I cut my list by 200+.

I cut the list to just the people I talk to regularly and those I'm happy to share my private albums with. In summary: a list of the most discerning perverts I've had the privilege to meet here.

Any friend requests I receive now are mostly deleted. I used to have a standard template answer "sorry but I have to get to know you before I add you....". Then I tried a "please don't send me a friend request unless I've already had the opportunity to get to know you....". Neither worked. Now I just delete random requests.

I remember when you very politely declined my friend request. I didn't realise it was a template answer, now I know.

If I remember rightly, yours was a bespoke response.

It had an added "x" at the end, no?:biggrin1:
Ah yes! It did indeed, at least one "x". I'm glad you don't charge bespoke prices for your bespoke responses. x :biggrin1:

I participated here much more prior to the implementation of the 'friends' system. I don't really cultivate friends here, at this point.

I get a friend request every couple of months or so. In most cases, I've never even heard of the person making the request. So, they get turned down.

I try to do the same...and I am a little more lenient in accepting requests from people who live close-ish to me and appear to be real as opposed to someone who seems fictitious or has no picture and lives far away.

I've been here a while, so my friends list includes cool folks who have long left the site...or have been banned.

I'll accept a friend request if I've had a decent conversation with someone :) I don't accept a request if a person has never said anything to me/only has said something along the lines of "hey ur hot bb"

You never know...you could be missing out on a LOT of great people by being too picky with your additions.

hmm...never thought of it this way...i've been on here for years & i hardly have ANY friends...i've declined quite a few requests because they came from people i didn't really know.

That's why I don't make friends requests anymore. I would compliment a guy on his gallery pics then make a friends request. But then I'd realize I have nothing else to say. I'm very shy and hopeless at making conversation - especially starting it - so I never know what to say. I still leave compliments on a guy's gallery (if he's not mostly straight - I know that sounds heterophobic. I'm not anti-straight, it's just that I'm looking for something more than just friendship so chatting with straight guys is just a waste of time) but I don't bother making the friends request.

If you are funny, respect the rights of others to enjoy the room in peace, and contribute something other than show wang; or hott cock. then we will see.

I enjoy posting on threads but I join threads rather than start them. I feel more comfortable on open threads because I can contribute (usually just corny jokes or bad one-liners) but still 'hang' in the background. Being shy makes PMing uncomfortable for me because it's so much more intimate and 1-to-1. Even starting a thread makes me uncomfortable because I feel like I'm drawing attention to myself. Being able to see a person's sexuality (and them see mine) makes it easier for me to say hello to members here than in real life and a gallery is ALWAYS a good ice-breaker for me because I can introduce myself by leaving a compliment, but after that I've got nothing. I don't like talking too much about myself but I don't feel comfortable asking questions about them either. So I just VM a compliment, comment on the gallery, then RUN FOR IT!

(Geez, that was kinda long-winded, wasn't it?
