i am new to this group since about april 23rd and in this short time i have noticed some crazy things that just is counterproductive to the lpsg name.
i dont believe that it matters whether one is gay or straight because it is about size. gay men not taking no for an answer is frustrating but it is as simple as blocking them. (without being homophobic one should give a guy 3 chances to take the 'no.' hint before shutting them out).

Being one of the "old timers" here (like over what?
--three, maybe four years now?) with the LPSG)....I have noticed we do have our "cycles" when we're not "at our best" so to speak. I get especially concerned when the newcomers get "turned off" very quickly by the bad behavior and leave here with absolutely the wrong impression of what we're really supposed to be about. Many of these new members came here for really good reasons initially, and--- we failed them.
I think the LPSG is a victim of it own success and I've said this before. Having a website that is advice-giving; offers a chance to discuss sexuality without the slant toward outright pornography, being able to discuss the penis and how men and women relate to it---it's just too good a website to keep quiet about! And so, over time, the LPSG now has its largest membership and readership ever and the current "run" of the forum (following several "re-starts and resurrections") ....well, we can safely say that we've covered pretty much every topic imaginable by now. Many of us ARE kinda tired if not totally "pooped" and we may NOT be contributing as we once did. Fortunately, there are still left among us though, those who WILL and DO respond whenever we sense a question is genuine, sincere, new, or innovative to the point it's going to help or encourage someone. Also, many of the popular contributors may have had changes in their personal lives and aren't as able to participate as they once did. Several have started careers; or-- switched careers. Others-- have had family-related concerns to deal with. Real everyday life goes on beyond this forum, folks!
Now...as to what's been happening around here lately--
all the "shenanigans", the name-calling, the arguing, the criticizing, the offending, and the otherwise being inconsiderate and downright naughty...many of the old-timers do and WILL ignore these antics...hoping things will improve (and knowing all along they will.) The troublemakers have usually moved on or, have been "thrown out"......all in good time.
I hate to say this...I really do. But in the past, when things began getting frettfully aggravating with mischief and otherwise wrong-doing, the "cure" (?) was simply the website going dark.....for weeks and weeks-on-end.
(Even MONTHS there about twice, I believe)
[ Computer probs, new ownership, moderators, etc
caused SEVERAL dark "no site exists"! periods.
None of us knew what the heck happened.

Anyway....when the LPSG did return, EVERYONE was delighted to have it back! We were happy again...all of us. A family reunited. And, so we started over-- (answered the same questions all over again including listing our same-ole stats!) and we re-built the LPSG.
I'm not wishing for that to hit us again. I'm just reminding everyone here that as bad as things have gotten lately....(and I've noticed it too!) the absolute WORST is not having the LPSG......at all.
I'd like to think we can keep plugging along here...
enjoying the company of those we've come to appreciate, even "love" and (as others have suggested) ignoring those who irritate us. Many of the agitators seem to have deep problems all their own. If they won't accept our views, our answers, or insights, --our offers to help them!... then we've done all we can do. We don't need the baggage of their troubled lives weighing us down. When I was a regular (I haven't because of school and stuff) I would take everything with a grain of salt.. I had a few run ins with some "freaks" and "losers" but thing turned out okay.
