Yes, Manhattan, NYC......and Chelsea to be exact.

I may be wrong, but I think it is a Dutch word that means an area
that is self governing...:shrug:

What ever it takes to make them winners again....I think it's great....I just
hope that the 140mil won't break the bank....

In some cases, yes, but in others not fast enough....like wiping out
world hunger and AIDS..

Since I am perfectly happy being ME, and love being ME, I think I would
have to think a bit about that...wouldn't want to make a hasty decision...

What is your favorite thing about living in NYC?

You said "thing...singular"...and that is very difficult to put a finger on,
but I guess it would have to be that it is "alive with excitement and energy"
and keeps my blood and interests constantly stimulated and flowing. My
work has had me move away twice, but like a bad penny I returned...and I
never entend to leave it again...

No, I'm a Southerner by birth, but a New Yorker by choice and the heart..

What is your idea of a perfect evening?

Spending it with my partner and friends whom I love and enjoy being with..

What is the last book you read?

Wll the last one I "read to the end" was "Road to Tara", by Anne Edwards.
I'm now in the process of reading "The Philokalia, Vol. 3", translated from the Greek,
and since I am attempting to learn Mandarin Chinese..a childrens book "Chinese
Treasure Chest."

Probably Easter.....it is such a joyous time...
or if you mean a place to go on holiday...then anywhere that I
haven't been before.....love to explore newe places, people,
cultures, food,,,,etc...

What brought you to LPSG?
Discovered it by chance, found it interesting, and it has been
my absolutle first "venture" into letting my real self come out,
although anonymously....and it has been liberatiing to say the least.
I never thought it would happen in a thousand years...

If you were a tree....

I would be able to enjoy up close all the birds, squirrels, and other
critters....and look out and enjoy the landscape..

Well, she passed a yew years ago, but sionce I will not be in that
city at the time, I have ordered flowers to be put on her grave as well
as on my fathers...

What vehicle (if any) do you drive?
In Greek is it called "duo podia" or 2 feet. I gave up my car since it
isn't really needed in NYC. If I need one, I rent it...

Can you dance?
Yes, I used to tap (as a child), modern dance (a la Martha Graham)
and taught at Arthur McMurray as a way to help pay for my architecture
supplies and art books at university..

Do you like sweet or salted popcorn? (If both, which do you prefer?)
I like unsalted with a good sweet butter on top...

No, not at all....what a silly question!

How much coffee, if any, do you drink in a day?
I brew 3 cups of dark, freshly ground Costa Rican a day....but,
only drink it in the morning or I will not sleep at night...

Yeah, I know what you mean....I always enjoy finding "Kilroy was here"
drawings here and there in my travels....I actually found one in a remote
village in the mountains some years ago while trekking through Nepal....

bed most of the week....

My life is always happy because it wouldn't be any fun if it wasn't....
but THE happiest times would have to be when I married and when my first
son was born.....oh what a wonderful day that was....

Cook, although I'm not the greatest...just simple stuff....and, please
don't laugh....but I love to wander through old grave yards and check out
the inscriptions on the stones. I know...I've heard it before...

The people....have made, I think, some real good friends here. You thought

a volunteer at an archeological dig...
