Lpsg Topic Of The Week.... How Do You Spend Halloween And Do You Like Halloween?

I kind of love it, cause you can celebrate it, but if you don't do it, no one will harass your ass. I think it's a funny time of the year, I like setting up a costume/mask etc.
Anyway I didn't celebrate it this year, I hope to do something cool in 2022...

Always enjoyed a bit of fancy dress or a good mask for Halloween. Don't have many photos but over the years I've been anything from Maverick from Top Gun to Captain Jack Sparrow (pictured below)

Not sure why I was a doctor with a pink cowboy hat on. Must of been pissed. Think I was 21? 22? So hadn't howned my fancy dress skills at that point

Haven't had the opportunity for fancy dress in years now though. I miss it. Was a good laugh.

Love it! I spend the day naked drinking and smoking as I prepare and later observe a Silent Dinner, watch horror movies around a theme up to it, and go out and venture in the dark somewhere in something skimpy, like underwear and a cowboy hat.

At this point in my life, I don't celebrate holidays other than Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos.

I do it in my own, ritualistic way. But it really matters. No one else gets it. But I don't care. It's my thing, and it's important.

I don't celebrate other holidays either, but have recently started watching Holiday themed horror movies later that night. I REALLY enjoy it and most holidays have horror themed movies.

This year we had eighteen times as many Trick-Or-Treaters as last year.........

Last year we had 1 kid.

Ten or so years ago we would have 100 to 150 Trick-or-Treaters come through my neighborhood.

Annually, I usually spend my falls and early winter at my Texas property...which I am fortunate is located within a small and very affluent "city" completely surrounded by another city of several million that has high crime, and many other negatives. Every year, when Halloween rolls around, the peaceful streets of my community are packed with traffic...vans, SUV's, trucks, and a few cars...all packed with "children" of all ages from toddlers to late teens/early 20s (obviously way too old but seeking "free" anyway) who do not live here. Most do not speak English....though there is a lot of "kids" from the less prosperous areas in the large city. If you leave your lights on, to include the lights at the front of most properties...your lawn is overrun with "trick or treaters" from about 4PM or so until 11PM at least...some later. The gated houses have the same problem....so many folks just keep their houses dark, but some do try to do "trick or treat" as about 2 or 3 of every few hundred of the "trick or treaters" is really a young child, with their parents, and they actually do live in the "park cities". If the weather is good....and not too cold after sundown....there are so many "trick or treaters" that there is really no break at all between them...no chance to shut the door and wait on the doorbell....so I just set up a lawn chair in front of my door, cases of sealed treats in my foyer inside my door...and pass it out a few pieces to each "trick or treater"...the older ones often try to "come back through"...but I have a memory that they were already through...and smile and tell them so and say they had their turn...some will try to argue a bit as if they think they can fool me...but I tell them no and next in line. So, last year...I probably had waaaaay over a thousand "kids".

And a few times, every year....I have had women, I thought they were mothers of the children, walk up and get close and whisper to me something like...to paraphrase...."are you the guy that I have heard about, your nickname is "The King Anaconda"?...then they usually smile big and try to slip me a paper with their name and number on it.

It's basically a US site....try to fit in with the hours. Yeah, my subscription has lapsed.

But you know what, for years, since 2007, I have supported this site financially. Yet, my subscription lapses.

No brownie points whatsoever. Guess after years of helping keep a site afloat to allow mega numbers of unpaying members to enjoy means fuck all.
