Why did you quote his weakest point, but ignore his most compelling one? He's right: it does seem a bit artificial--even ridiculously so--to act righteous all of a sudden in this context when we generally have no idea what amateur pics & vids have been posted online with all parties' consent, and more to point, no one seems to give to fuck at all in other threads. It seems to me these sort of personal request threads are just co-copted by disingenuous boobs that can't resist the opportunity to affect a moral posture and 'parent' someone else. But even supposing I'm wrong and the issue of consent just doesn't really dawn on anyone in the context of other threads and vid searches (which, at the very least, shows the complainers are a rather dense, unobservant, or unreflective lot), I seriously doubt they will now forgo porn from sites without verification of consent (which, in reality, is virtually every amateur site on the net, with the exception of personal pages--after all, doesn't take much to post a vid, ya know). Moreover, I doubt anyone will even email their favorite amateur sites to let them they really hope everything was posted with consent. So, why not leave these threads alone? His argument that sex related postings and ethics were incompatible was a weak one. I have posted pics and video of myself and sexual partners, including my current BF and a member of LPSG, with each, I received their express permission to so. That's the right thing to do. If I acted without their permission, now that would be "retarded" and pathetic.

There's nothing wrong with other people chiming in to remind those who might be caught up in the moment to think before posting someone else's image. Depending upon the type of image, there could be ramifications to that action. As someone who chooses not to share pictures of yourself on LPSG, I am sure you understand that all others who are not personally approving use of their pics retain the same right.

But other members had to chime in, multiple times, "please make sure the other person knows."
