I dont use lube frequently. I tried something once which was good though. Only put lube on rim of head. This way, you can still grip skin firmly and your fingers get to do the rubbing of head and get "lubed", but rest of hand on shaft stays without lube.

I am now at my lowest weight since gerting circumcised, and the shaft skin moves moticeably less. I figured it would "force" me to startr using lube all the time, but in the end, I still prefer it dry. I now rub shaft/glans and don't try to grip the shaft skin to move it.
