LOL True. The leads are quite white. There are nonwhite people among the cast though, but only with the side characters.colored is a choice word, especially given the main characters

ye, that's the main problem. It's the first gay rom-com, but it's a white gay rom-com catering to a white audience. And this is coming from a white gay.LOL True. The leads are quite white. There are nonwhite people among the cast though, but only with the side characters.

bet you anything Spoiler Alert will do so much better at the theaters and it won't be blamed on homophobia
Yeah, I think there were so many little things that could have gone better, but combined they all created the perfect storm that led to it not doing well last weekend. And Billy's remarks certainly did not help, but don't think he should shoulder all the blame. The last romantic comedy that did well theatrically was "Lost City" and it was led by names like Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum and had a highly publicized cameo by Brad Pitt.
The trailers also emphasized the "adventurous" nature of the plot (with the leads being chase around the jungle) to make it more appealing to see it on a big screen.
This Bros movie does in fact feel like a streaming sort of flick that somehow got a wide release. The fact they dump this during Halloween season is even more of a head scratch.
