I go there and this is basically what everyone does. The club is male only and very unique so the locker room, showers, squash courts, bar and work area are all in one open room, but the gym is on the 2nd floor that looks down on everything - literally the only doors in that place are on the Sauna/Steam room. Even the staff (personal trainers, managers and massage therapists) usually shower after their shift - it feels like a modern version of an old Gentleman's club. I've never been in an environment where nudity is SO normal, and nothing gay is happening - it's incredibly homoerotic.
Fitness First Mainz, Germany

This 1 is not super lux but typical of many German gyms and saunas.

The Germans are so cool about nudity - almost everyone showers naked. I go to a swimming pool in Karlsruhe where they specify when you CAN wear trunks. Some of the saunas and therme are massive with multiple saunas inside and out, lakes, hot pools, wet bars and steam baths. This weekend I'm going to a sauna / waterpark where on Saturday evening you can use the wave pool and slides naked. The slides are serious fun - you have to walk up 4 floors, naked of course :)

Open/communal showers in gym locker rooms are sadly becoming a thing of the past. Nowadays, they are usually considered a low-cost option reserved for cheap gyms. Let’s discuss communal showers in luxury settings, where men have the luxury of bonding with one another after a workout, as they wash themselves together. I’ll start with the Cambridge Club in Toronto Canada, perhaps the most beautiful communal showers I have ever seen. Please share any others you know about from anywhere around the world.
What kind of guys did you find here age wise?

That's amazing. I've reflected many times that something that's sexy but not actually sexual is (paradoxically) hotter than something that is actually sexual. For example, I love going to a male-only spa where everyone is naked but you you're not allowed to do anything sexual, as just looking and soaking up the homoerotic, fraternal atmosphere is a lot more fun than (for example) a gay sauna, where everything is just totally in your face and there's no time to build up tension and just enjoy the atmosphere. Of course, the disadvantage to the former is that it gets frustrating, but if you meet someone nice you can always take him home with you.

Totally agreed. That’s exactly what I am looking for. Not interested in cruising or doing stuff. Just enjoy being casually naked with other men, which is a healthy and normal part of being a man.

Thanks for this! Please tell us more! Are there a lot of young guys who do the same and are comfortable with nudity (which is more rare in other locker rooms)? Do men chat with each other while they are showering?

Most of the guys there are between 25-45, the clientele is basically made up exclusively of young lawyers, tech guys and a huge number of bankers/finance guys.

I feel like you have to go to the club to fully understand the atmosphere, but everyone (including like 18 year olds) has to be very comfortable with nudity to go there. The main towel area is inside the open showers so guys will get undressed at their locker, walk naked past fully clothed guys drinking a beer at the bar, or guys playing squash (the courts are in the locker room and made of glass) and into the shower/hot tub/steam/sauna area which is also made of glass, there is no privacy.

100% guys talk in the shower, the club is very exclusive and is huge for networking, very few people come not knowing somebody - it's fathers/sons/co-workers/clients/bosses all chatting naked in the shower, and then usually going into the sauna, steam room or hot tub. In the sauna half will have a towel covering their dick, the other half will just sit on the towel naked... in the steam room and hot tub though people don't even bother drying off from their shower and just walk naked into the steam room, and sit on a towel or lay down completely naked. My point is yes, everyone chats everywhere regardless if one is clothed and the other is nude - the whole point of the place really is to network, and these dudes have no shame in talking to someone while they're naked if it could get them ahead at work.

A now high-ranking woman in the Canadian government protested the club because it is male only, and is used so often for networking. I feel like this pic/gif really encompasses the vibe of this place, she couldn't even get passed the elevator room because the rest of the club is just dicks everywhere and a member who is nude under his bathrobe with some flip flops on just wanders out to see what's going on.

*the room directly behind the men in the below photo is a restaurant for members which does require clothing - they do have some boundaries ;)

None of the gyms ive been to in the last 15 yrs have them anymore. But ive been to 3 korean spas. Not a common room, but a long row of showers in a big room with hot and cold tubs, sauna, steam. No clothes allowed. Very masculine, its where i go to escape female drama and just be "one of the guys"
