It's b.c. way of saying, 'you've kicked my ass in the debate now I'm going to begin a campaign of character assassination and treating you as if you're beneath me.'

I didn't read your entire exchange with him but at some point he's going to call you a racist ... If he hasn't already? I suggest you not bother to respond to his absurd claims as it's just another leftist tactic he employs to direct the conversation on you personally, make it about you having to defend yourself from his unsubstantiated accusations, and away from any on-topic constructive debate.

Pardon me for my ERROR.

One such as yourself who has said:

  • racial profiling and disparities in law enforcement is a fantasy, and
  • who has ridiculed concerns over hateful, bigoted, discourse as so much b.s. political correctness, and
  • who has said there IS no pay gap for women,
  • and who said the BAR must be lowered in order for black actors and producers to get a nomination for the Oscars, and
  • who seems to miss NO opportunity to show up and post examples of black people behaving badly......
CLEARLY is neither a racist nor a bigot.

MY mistake.

I also noticed Chrysippus has started to spellcheck you. That's his modus operandi when he can't manage to properly debate anymore. It just become him using typos as a means to distract from his lack of intellect. You'll be lucky to get a complete coherent sentence from him at this point.

Sargon - He's going to agree with everything b.c. has to say no matter how ridiculous the content. If b.c. said he was thinking about throwing babies off the roof he would respond in full support and blame the whole thing on Trump.
ROTFL!!! The sky is falling!!!

2008 United States presidential election results by county, on a color spectrum from Democratic blue to Republican red. A purple state refers to a swing state where both Democratic and Republican candidates receive strong support without an overwhelming majority of support for either party.

Oh? Did he say that too? I must've missed that one.

I do recall Jz saying maybe if he changed his name to a black sounding one he might get that promotion.

The actual quote:

I can't answer that since the best of the target candidates are being hired. Certainly not implying there is any suffering in the quality of candidates, since that is not the case, only that white candidates are facing tougher challenges as the focus is on diverse candidates. Honestly, Jose has a better chance of employment than joe today. Not saying that it right or wrong (before the racist chants begin), just saying that's the reality. Again, at least in my industry.

Oh?? People, including YOURSELF, come here and say things like that and somehow it's MY archives? Better look again, buddy. That kind of narrow-minded s********** is of YOUR own making.

Meh. And the ubiqiutious response that it is someone's else's fault to justify his behavior.

No Genius..... Him refusing to simply place his hand over his heart while our National Anthem is being played........ or refusing to stand...... or refusing to even acknowledge our flag during honors. It's no earth shattering event, but I do find it particularly disgraceful.
So I guess you also found it disgraceful when your hero, tRump, failed to place his hand over his heart too?

Yes I did; and he's not my hero. I never said there weren't things I didn't like about Trump. I also think it's shitty that he promotes American jobs so much yet all his merchandise I've seen so far says "made in _____"; everywhere BUT the USA.

Meh. And the ubiqiutious response that it is someone's else's fault to justify his behavior.

...meh...

The actual quote:

Is it white privlege? I recall the recent uproar when Raven Simone said on that women's show that she would never hire someone with a "black" sounding name. Is it more about our personal perceptions in certain situations, this one a perceived fit when hiring someone, as opposed to as you believe, white privlege and the implications of racism? I'm sure you would like it to be. I would venture to say that a "Jane Chung" might be called in for an interview before a "Xi-Ching Chung," or even for that matter, before a "Mary Smith" these days. Understand the opposite might very well occur as companies look for more diversity. Jamal might get that interview before Tom. And not saying that's wrong, only how things are changing.
Oh... it was his quote. I misunderstood. I didn't see that one. It resembles the one I referred to on several occasions, located here: https://www.lpsg.com/threads/white-privilege.430360/page-26#post-5858841

Upon re-examining his comment I've come to the realization that it was actually worse than I remembered. Not only did he suggest changing his name to a black sounding one would get him that promotion, but also getting a sex change, and wearing a yamulke.

But let's be clear. That is CLEARLY, POSITIVELY, AND MOST DEFINITELY NOT racists, misogynistic, or anti-Semetic.

Speaking of blowing stuff up, I wonder if a certain someone wants to kick the perpetrators of this kind of s********* in the face too?

Bomb threats again rattle Jewish centers
Bomb threats target U.S. Jewish centers for third time in a month
Hate Crimes In The US: Jewish Community Centers Shaken Across The Country In Wake Of Recent Bomb Threats

Jewish Centers Across U.S. Face New Wave of Bomb Threats - The New York Times

More examples of conservative/Trump inspired HATE.

instead of focusing and nitpicking about whether someone forgot to salute a flag, or where they should've faced or placed their hands during the playing of an anthem, and other backbiting PETTY-assed contrivances as a EXCUSE to question someone's "PATRIOTISM" ...

MAYBE they should be focusing on how their HATE based, BIGOTED ideology fails to LIVE UP to AMERICAN IDEALS, and to what that FLAG, that ANTHEM, and those little lapel pins are supposed to STAND FOR.

Frankly, I'm convinced many of 'em haven't a fkng CLUE.

Yes, as a matter of fact they should be.

I see that people of Jewish faith are of significant importance to you. Why mention only the Jews? That seems bigoted.

Supposed to stand for, eh? How long did you serve in the military? Have you ever been a police officer? What line of work are you in?

What an absolutely ridiculous response. In the time I've been here I've been an advocate for the civil rights of more than just Jewish people, bud. So your sorry attempt at questioning that is LAUGHABLE.

As for what I am, have done, WHATEVER, that's none of your business. I suppose serving in the military has made you an authority on the subject.

Good sidestep and deflection. That tells me all I need to know.

Yes, me serving in the military DOES make me an authority on what it's like to serve in the military.
