Hey everyone,

Since I was in early college I wore magnums. I did however try one magnum XL and it was too big. Emasculating to me at the time, so I haven't ventured back till now.

I was noticing with regular magnums my base was consistently not covered and experiencing a lot of ride up of the condom from my girlfriend. So I was like screw it, lets go try something bigger, I have definitely grown since the last time I tried. BEHOLD! I fit! and they don't ride up!

Anyone else experience this? Another issue I have had with both condoms- I got to be more careful of them getting pulled off. When bottom out and hit the deep corners of my gf, she tends to pinch the condom off my dick. Any one else experience this?

I've always had issues with condoms, for a while now I've been buying online from a company called TheyFit. Their condoms are another level, they cater for numerous dick types from the very small to the very large and the thin to the very thick and all combinations. They're great to deal with and reasonably priced, I've not used anything else since.

Just wanted to note that, I don't think you should feel emasculated by a bigger dicksize. I think thats a strange way to evaluate masculinity.

I use Magnum or Durex XL. They're a good fit, slightly tight, which I figure is actually more secure so better than trading up and being looser. Ride up (good expression) does happen sometimes depending on the intensity of the sex. My main worry is because I have big ejaculations it can get dangerously close to escaping at the base.

I feel that bruh, I also have pretty damn big loads and the teat on the end of condoms is nowhere near enough capacity. I will say though that the TheyFit condoms I use which I mention above do seem to have a little more capacity for volume of cum but not a significant difference, I still need to judge the right moment to pull out to be safe. I will add they seem more durable though, I don't break or split them anywhere near as often as I would with other big brand names.

I haven't broken one for some time thankfully. I cum more than 2.5x the male average in volume so there are bound to be issues! If TheyFit did a 'bigger emissions' version for big cummers that would be seriously niche but I would probably buy it lol

Both are about length, XL is about girth, in my experience.

If it’s coming off while you’re fucking you need a tighter fit(smaller condom).

Not always. The problem with Magnums, as well as Magnum XL, is that they taper down toward the base. If you have a dick which is "wedge shaped," that is, very thick at the base and tapering a bit toward the tip, these condoms will start to roll up, because they are way too narrow at the base. It will either roll up until it comes off, or in my case, get stuck with a heavy band of rubber half way up my dick, which is extremely painful, and has even drawn blood on a couple of occasions.

The tapering at the base is because in the USA, FDA requires that condoms sold over the counter conform to a standard known as ASTM D3492, which states that somewhere along the length of the condom there must be an area not wider than 50 mm when the condom is measured flattened out. I guess some bureaucrats assumed this was necessary for grip, and men, being vain creatures, would buy condoms too way large if you let them. As Trojan says on their own website:
  • Tapered at the base for a secure fit
trojan-magnum-side.gif

Which is fine if you have a dick that's narrower at the base, I guess. For example, you have a huge mushroom head. So, although the Magnum and Magnum XL are variously claimed to be 54 and 64 mm wide, this is at the bulbous head, and they are snugger at the base, which causes them to roll up on men with a very thick base.

Brands such as They Fit are able to get around the FDA regulation by having you measure your dick before buying. (Some other brands are a bit wider than 50 mm, too, I think because they argue they conform to some European standard.) So, they are able to sell condoms which are a uniform width, up to 69 mm. The TheyFit U22 at 64 mm or (when rarely available) U31 at 69 mm fit me properly and stayed on, because it was the right shape, wide right down to the base, and did not roll up and injure my dick like the nasty Magnums. They did not slide off because of being too big. In fact, the U22 was actually difficult to remove. I usually had to grab the rim of it, and roll it inside out to remove it, because no way was that thing sliding off.

For a while, TheyFit became temporarily unavailable from in the USA. I bought out what was in stock in my size at the distribution warehouse (about $600 in condoms). I also found that some of the Durex condoms actually fit larger than the Magnums, are not tapered, and are more stretchy, so they are far more comfortable, although they still made me go soft sometimes. Although TheyFit became available again, by that time I decided I wanted to actually enjoy sex and feel everything, so I take precautions other ways, and rarely use condoms these days.

I'm from the UK so TheyFit are easily available to me, in fact the factory isn't that far a drive anyway which I've visited a couple of times. If you struggle with supply over there in the US can't you order directly from the TheyFit UK website? I thought they shipped worldwide bruh.

Technically, it is illegal for an individual to import condoms into the USA, as they are considered medical devices by the US government, and are under the control of the US Food and Drug Administration, which oversees importation, specifications, testing, etc. (Yes, America is a very fucked-up place, particularly when it comes to fucking. Although there are CE standards for condoms in the EU, they are far more reasonable and sensible than in the USA.)

About 10 years ago, TheyFit condoms became unavailable in the USA for a while. This was because although the original patent holder on the measuring system is an American, the condoms were actually made by a German contract manufacture in Malaysia, and imported (as is the case for most condoms sold in the USA). The same factory had also made some specialty or novelty condoms for a completely different customer. Upon inspection at the seaport of arrival (yes, the FDA test rubbers right at the dock), it was determined that these novelty condoms did not meet certain US regulations, most likely because they were never intended to. The FDA inspected 3 batches of these novelty condoms, and concluded that none of them met their specification (again, they probably were not intended to) and immediately invoked a 3-strikes-and-you're-out rule, which forever and for all time banned that particular factory from ever exporting any sort of condom whatsoever to the USA again. (Have I mentioned fucked-up...) Hence, TheyFit became unavailable in the USA until a new factory could be found, and as I recall the patent holder gave up, and sold the product concept to someone else, who started over abroad. It is worth noting that at the same time as the US FDA blacklisted this manufacture, a similar EU medical watchdog granted the same company an award for outstanding quality. As I said, America is a deeply fucked-up place, particularly when it comes to anything remotely near sex. Strangely, after having ruled all condoms from that factory unfit for use, FDA did allow the existing stocks already in the USA to be sold to established customers. So I bought a huge supply of my size that kept me going for a while. And, obviously, the government (FDA) decision was based on some pure bullshit that had nothing to do with product quality. Then again, most things involving medicine and health operate on such a basis in the US. (Full disclosure: I work in that business, and have for 30 years.)

In practice, foreign condoms are sold on Ebay, etc. and there is usually no actual problem buying them that way. But most major EU or UK merchants will refuse to ship directly to a USA address, although there are some loopholes. In the meantime, TheyFit has returned to legal distribution in the US, and I believe there is one other similar brand, but they are absurdly expensive. And, although I still keep a supply, I find I enjoy raw fucking so much more. (I was once the poster boy for safe sex...then my morals were corrupted by Carlos, a young pornstar named Element, and what the inside of Jose feels like...) Some people criticize me for that. But oddly, even though I have (at least pre-covid) a lot of sex with a great many people (I can't count, but the math says well over a thousand so far), I've found that by paying more attention to who and where (i.e. fuck parties with a curated guest list, plus a small circle of regular fuckbuds) I've had far less "troubles" fucking raw than when I did use condoms with random hook-ups. But, I will use a condom on request, just there aren't many requests.

Well that's certainly fucked up bruh!
TheyFit have been the only condoms I've used to date that have
A, been remotely comfortable.
B, haven't split or broken during penetration or sex.
Closely followed by the MySize 69 but the MySize don't have as much length as the G31 and although better than all the other supposedly extra large condoms still rupture more frequently than the TheyFit do, for me TheyFit are the best there is and by far the safest from a fit and durability point.
Totally agree with you about fucking raw, all my partners are tested so I only use condoms when absolutely necessary too.
