There seems to be a lot of discussion here about circumcision, foreskin restoration and enlargement techniques, but I haven't managed to sift all the way through the forum to see if there have been previous threads about other forms of male genital modification. I'm a body artist (piercing specialist, some tattoos), and I have particular interest in the topic.

There are lots of other options out there for guys who aren't quite satisfied with what nature provided for them down there, from piercings and tattoos to beaded implant work and scarification to improve friction/sensation to frenectomy, meatotomy & subincision to... well, the sky's the limit.

Are there any active participants around who've thought about or taken the plunge in any of these directions? Working in body art, I've done my fair share of penis piercings. From the mundane prince albert or frenum barbell to an ampallang, apradravya or dydoe, I think I've done at least a few of them all.

I guess the thing is that I've never really gotten the chance to do some of the more "in depth" piercings on larger cocks and would be very interested in hearing people's experiences, especially with ampallangs & apradravyas. The larger the penis, the more difficult these freehand piercings would be for the artist. On the other hand, it actually helps to have a large, mushroom head for a dydoe.

I've seen some exquisite tattoo work on large members, both in person and on trade sites, but I'd also love to hear if any of the people around here have gone in that direction.

I wear a 0ga Frenum, 2ga Apadrayva and a 0ga PA love them all and I also have a celtic icon of a dog along both sides of the shaft with the heads looking over their backs on the top of the base. I love it, some like some don't.

Very nice responses so far. It's great to hear there are some mod guys in the community. Piercing stretching is awesome. Personally, I love the look of the larger hardware, but I can imagine it's daunting for some. The tattoo work you guys have had done also sounds great. Cocks are naturally beautiful things, but that's no reason we can't customize them further to meet our individual desires for appearance and function.

A friend of mine specializes in figurative cock tattooing where the entire member is sleeved, base to tip, to represent something, often a phallic animal or mythological creature. I've seen amazing work in the form of serpents, dragons, dragons, horses, celtic animals or intricate knotwork, etc.

I'd love to hear more about how people respond to your mods, positively or negatively, and if anyone out there has considered a cock mod but is holding back, what is it that's causing you to have second thoughts? Does anyone who has taken the plunge have any regrets?

Please keep the responses coming!

I can't say that I really am all that interested in modding my member, but I have considered a frenum ladder. I heard it's a nightmare though, getting caught on stuff and whatnot.

Being gay, my buddy and I would love to find a "gay friendly" piercer here abouts. Neither of us are crazy about going to a regular piercer who might have issues with gay men.

I have a meatotomy that goes from tip all the way through the frenulum. I can sound a sharpie marker. I guess any PA I getc would have to go in below where the frenulum is.

Frenum ladders aren't really that bad. There's not nearly as much risk of migration with them as with a PA. If you choose the right gauge and use the right jewelry and, of course, let them heal properly, you should be fine. From what I hear from clients and friends, women are often very appreciative if they are open-minded about the idea.

If you want to send me a PM about it, I'll be happy to check out my network and see if I can get you a referral for a gay or gay-friendly piercer in your area.

Meatotomy is definitely an awesome mod, and it's certainly possible to do a deeper PA, though they are sometimes more likely to migrate if you use too small a gauge. Have you found any interesting sensation benefits from the meatotomy? What made you decide to go in that direction?

I have the ol PA myself, and for now that's sufficient. I like the idea of scrotal bars and ladders, but i wanna pace myself... I do also have a tat right to the right of the base of the shaft, and i kinda regret it, but mainly because it kinda got botched...

I do have a more jewelry related question, to anyone who can answer. (sorry not trying to hijack the thread) I wear a 2 ga, and i want to wear a seamless ring. my local shop said they can get it for me, but they'll have to install it, and it'll be more permament, as in i'll have to go see them to get it removed/put back in. I like to switch mine out, or leave it out or in somedays and not others, but a trip to see this guy everytime doesn't sound too good. has anyone else had any experience in this guage seamless ring?

Seamless rings aren't really seamless, they just don't have a captive ball or other obvious connection point. They appear seamless.

Most of them work one of two ways: you either bend them back together to complete the ring, or you twist them back and forth around a pivot point to lock or unlock them. In either case, the larger the gauge, the harder it is to bend the metal precisely without warping it. Piercers will have specialized tools (rubber tipped, sterilized pliers, for instance) to do this and some training/experience in how to do it. That's not to say you couldn't buy the tools and learn how to do it yourself.

There's another harder to find type of continuous ring that you might consider called a segment ring. Basically, it's just like a captive ball ring, but instead of the ball, it has a segment of the ring that is captive within the remainder of the ring. These also sometimes require bending the ring a little to get them to open and close properly, so they may also require the specialized ring opening/closing pliers, especially at larger gauges.

Basically, you can go either way you want to go. If it's more convenient for you to buy the pliers and learn how to do it yourself, then your piercer should be cool with that. If not, then go to your piercer for the service (the charge should be small, if there is a charge at all). He should work with you.

Above all else, just make sure you know what you're doing. If you use the wrong tools, you can scratch or otherwise damage the ring which can not only impact its appearance but also provide unpleasant friction and a place for bacteria to grow leading to UTIs.

And on the tattoo issue, a good artist can often come up with a plan to incorporate a botched or unwanted prior design into a new one, or else he can cover it up completely. You might consider going in for a consult if you know someone with a good reputation for restorative work.

I guess I never thought that my PA was mundane, so I guess it's the reason that I have been reluctant to post on this thread today; however what is mundane to you was something that is a big deal to someone like me.

I'm so sorry I expressed myself in a way that made you feel uncomfortable about the topic. I didn't mean they were mundane in the sense that they were boring or unappealing, but rather that they are popular and more and more common these days. On the right cock, they can be very hot.

I also realize that every mod is important to the person who receives it -- it's a part of them -- and I like to think that I treat every client with the respect they deserve on that basis. If I made you feel otherwise about your piercing, please accept my apology. I'm very interested in hearing about your experiences, too, what you enjoy about it, how it has changed your perspective about your cock, etc.

I guess the mundane thing comes from the fact that prince alberts make up 80% or more of the genital mod market, so as a piercer, they are what I see all of the time. I'm less familiar with people's experiences with the less common ones, just because they are less common.

I have a PA and I enjoy it very much. I got it back in 1992, when they weren't quite as common as they are now, and I've increased the gauge a little over the years. It started off as 2.5mm gauge and it's currently 5mm. I don't think I'll increase it much more as 5mm is about right for me. It's heavy enough that I can feel it without being so heavy it stretches the piercing by its own weight. The metal is thick enough to be very comfortable (no cheese-wire effect) and at 5mm the circular bar-bell jewellery I normally wear can take an internal thread, which makes it especially comfortable when changing it.

I used to have other piercings (nipples and navel, again, before they became mandatory amongst teenage girlies) but they migrated and I had to remove them. I would very much like an ampallang that passes through my urethra and I'd get one tomorrow if it wasn't for the exceptionally long healing time (anything between 6 months and a year or longer). In recent years I've been adding steadily to my tattoo collection instead - I find ink just as exciting, it heals more quickly and, for me at least, it's a bit more permanent than most of my piercings.

I have really enjoyed my PA. I had my nipples pierced many many years ago and it took me a long time to have the courage to get the PA. I'm sorry that I waited so long. I am wearing at a 2 gauge and am somewhat reluctant to go to a zero gauge. It has certainly enhanced my sex life. I don't know if I want any further body modification because I'm happy with what I have now. Maybe a tattoo.

no bullshitting. it works. just don't go back to work too early n rupture stitches!

went from 5 - 6" and chuffed as hell

pioneering surgeons were Dr. Hennie Roets and Irving Lasoos then.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've gone the same direction myself. Used to be much more heavily into piercing for myself (at one time was up to 18), but have taken most of them out and switched my personal focus more to the ink world. Don't get me wrong. I still love piercing and having piercings, especially stretching, but I'd rather focus on a few that are really meaningful to me than take a scatter shot approach.

Gratz on working up the courage to go for what you wanted. I'm very happy to hear that it has enhanced your sex life. 2ga is a great size, so don't feel any pressure to go any larger unless you feel it would be a real aesthetic or sensory improvement for you.

Wow. Have never had the chance to correspond with someone who's gone for the penoplastie. I've read about fairly mixed results in the literature, so it's great that yours turned out so well. I'm sure we'd all love to see the results (even before and after if you have them).
