I've just noticed something. Many of the male models from ModelMayhem have a tendancy to "lie" and I wonder why. Each model has a short bio, and they all have to answer the same questions. One of those question is if the model shoots nude. Many of them say no when they actually do pose nude on certain occasions. So why do they lie about it?
A few of those models who say they don't pose nude when they actually do pose nude include: John Antorino, Quentin Elias and Alexander William. And there are many others. So why aren't they honest about it?

Not all things are equal in the world of modeling and fashion and art photography. What the models who say they will not model nude are saying they will not accept a nude assignment from an unknown photographer. That may not be the situation at all, and in the cases you mentioned indeed, when it comes to posing nude for a well known and respected photographer or even perhaps someone who they've worked with before and who knows how to handle them and who they feel respects both their body and their persons.
It's like nude scenes in films, actors of both sexes often say no to unknown and untried directors but when an "A" list director who they know will handle the scene and the filming of it with taste and discretion, they will accept a script that requires nude work.
There are too many variables in modeling and acting for anyone to be too rigid on what they will and won't do, however it also behoves an individual to be as protective of their person and not allow time consuming and unpleasant confrontations to take place.

I think they say no because if they said yes they would be flooded with seedy garbage offers. Once you rep is tarnished you are Done there are too many younger people knocking on the door to replace you. Models need to be super choosy.

What exactly is the deal with ModelMayhem?

Every once in a while I'll see an extremely beautiful nude pic on a blog or other site, and it indicates it came from ModelMayhem. But when I've visited MM, it just looks like any other mainstream modeling agency website. Is there a subset of it, behind registration and password, where models display their nude work? It looks like one has to be a professional model or photographer to even join the site.

I love modelmayhem. It has some of the most gorgeous breathtaking photos of handsome men. It's not a good site to go to when you are feeling down about your looks, cuz there are some beautiful men on there.

Use to be that any one could join. Cuz, I use to be a member years ago. Unfort, I forgot my username and password.
