I lived with both and I've found the men to be a bit tidier. Obviously it's not always the case, but it can be. I would have liked to have lived with more straight guys though, I found that I started to miss just being one of the guys while I was living with a group of women; instead I became one of the gals.

I have a female roommate but I would prefer a male. She is OCD about cleaning so, that is not a problem. She talks non-stop about gossipy shit that I could care less about. I tune her out like I did my ex-wife. I'd like to have a straight male who is open enough to use my mouth, and fuck my fleshlight pussies with me, when he's horny. Applications anyone?

I've always considered myself a fairly easy person to live with (I mind my own business, I'm exceptionally clean and organized, and I'm very receptive to suggestions), but I find it pretty picky to find a compatible roommate.

The roommate I have now (in college) is great on every level, except that his capacity for disaster and leaving the room messy is unbelievable. The room always smells because of him (I'm sure of it because he never knows what I'm talking about when I mention it) and it's just gross.

It seems to me that organization will make or break it for me... And they should be open to suggestions for living arrangements. And, as long as we get along but don't get on each other's nerves (such as giving each other at least some space), then I'm guessing that it doesn't matter whether my roommate(s) is/are male or female.

If you are trying to determine who is more of a slob, their sex is not a factor. Try visiting them where they currently live before you decide if they will be an acceptable roommate.

I had both at one time...the male had his own room, the female came later,...she slept with me cause lack of rooms,...the male kept to himself, clean, not dramatic,...the female was messy, but kept me warm on cold nights,...she took off on her own for a while , and is now asking to cum back,...the rent $$ isn't bad either,...js

I can tell you that if the girl is remotely feminine (shaves her legs, blow dries her hair, etc.), it will be a HELL of a pain in the ass to live with her if you're required to share a bathroom. Even a guy who may do all of those same things will take considerably less time in the bathroom than a girl. Guys and gays, just think about how long it takes for a girl to try on clothes compared to guys. Now, imagine sharing a bathroom with that. It will be hell. I love my girlfriends, but I would NEVER live with them if a shared bathroom were involved.

I would vastly prefer a male over a female for many reasons. In my experience guys are cleaner and as someone mentioned if you're sharing a bathroom it's far easier to share with another guy than with a female. In the past I've treated the bathroom like a locker room situation without a problem so if both people needed to get ready in the morning there was nothing wrong with brushing teeth while one person was in the shower or peeing or something.

Just a note, but this is without regard to sexual orientation. There's a higher chance that a straight roommate would be hesitant about bathroom sharing but I think over time they'd get over it. If a straight guy is willing to live with a gay guy then they're already pretty receptive to the whole different sexuality thing. Obviously if you're hitting on your roommate constantly they may never feel comfortable.

I never thought about the time constraints involved in sharing a bathroom with a woman. The only thing I know is that (from what I've seen), women tend to keep their bathroom much cleaner than men do. Again, this is just from what I've seen. I don't know why or how it's so hard to keep the bathroom clean as you make a mess, but I know that if it weren't for me maintaining the bathroom that 4 other males share that it would be disgusting. I've seen it get to that point before I decided to take initiative to clean it.

I've also seen other guy's bathrooms and it makes me wonder how sanitary it actually is (I mean, I don't feel comfortable washing my hands in their sink with brown stains on the side and then drying my hands on their towel that clearly has never been washed). And from the girl's bathrooms I have seen, it's very clean and well put-together.

It's just stereotypical, but it's what I've seen. I guess, as long as the other person is clean and considerate (again, could be male or female), then they'd be a good roommate match for me. :)
