i just dont get why you would be motivated to do such a thing. its definately gross, definately cant be reversed, even if they sew it back on, its not gunna be the same. also, you would lose so much sensitivity in your penis, let alone most of the muscles that control your bladder...

then again, if it means he cant reproduce, then its a good example of natural selection, i would feel bad for his children...

from a medical standpoint, i was interested in just seeing what the inside looked like, but at the same time i cant imagine the pain. i dont care if hes stoned...

There is actually an OCD that causes people to mutilate or amputate parts of their bodies. They are so unhappy with that part, that they want to get rid of it. It's sad really, because they can't controll themselves.

Actually, self-injury&#39;s a symptom of MANY other problems. It&#39;s the only pain they can control. Also, the release of cortisol helps deal with the stress.

Usually, therapists come up with a "time-out rule" before you do it. Wait 15 minutes before you hurt yourself. Also, make sure to treat the injuries immediately after you inflict them. If your preferred method is cutting or pricking, you should also make sure your instruments are sterile.

Genital self-injury in particular seems to be a sign of sexual abuse.
