Since mormons are allowed to have more than one wife. Do you think it should be legal for a woman to marry more than one person at the same time.

Or a gay man to marry more than person.

Or a bisexual Man to marry a man and a woman at the same time.

I might be mistaken but I believe it's Muslims that can have more than one wife.

Not that many countries allow polygamy (I think the Netherlands is one of the few western countries that does), even if you do get some religious groups permitting it. Most commonly, it is polygyny, which is one man and multiple wives. There are a few ethnic groups where polyandry (one wife, multiple husbands) occurs, particularly in the himalayas.

Should polygamy be allowed generally? Providing there's no coercion, sure.

I'm not all too sure someone even could end up in a situation like that without there being at least some coercion at play.

Marriage is a religious sacrament. A secular government based on the separation of church and state should not be making laws or regulations about it. Family law is another story.

It's difficult but possible, I have come across "throuples" out there who are willingly in a three way relationship, it's rare though and in most cases, coercion plays a factor.

Yeah but that's being a couple. That i can understand happening without coercion because people are and can be kinking. To me that's like cuckholding (or whatever it's called). Some people for whatever reason get off on either having multiple sexual partners or watching as their significant other has multiple sexual partners.

To me that changes when it comes to marriage. Didn't know it wasn't legal in america but i would image theres other problems with it that would deter normal people or people who are mentally healthy or psychologically stable from doing it.

I guess there is also a friend factor. People mistaken friendship for it and falling in that way. Then again, i'm guessing that could also be considered coercion of a kind.

You are correct that Muslim men may have 4 wives, as allowed in the Koran; HOWEVER, they must provided for them equally in terms of emotional, social and financial support. Some Muslim countries have anchored that proviso in law.

In reality, there is little polygamy in the middle east.
