Not legally in the United States.I might be mistaken but I believe it's Muslims that can have more than one wife.
Not that many countries allow polygamy (I think the Netherlands is one of the few western countries that does), even if you do get some religious groups permitting it. Most commonly, it is polygyny, which is one man and multiple wives. There are a few ethnic groups where polyandry (one wife, multiple husbands) occurs, particularly in the himalayas.
Should polygamy be allowed generally? Providing there's no coercion, sure.
Mormons are NOT allowed BY LAW to have more than one wife.
I'm not all too sure someone even could end up in a situation like that without there being at least some coercion at play.
It's difficult but possible, I have come across "throuples" out there who are willingly in a three way relationship, it's rare though and in most cases, coercion plays a factor.
