any teabagger who thinks he has sympathy for these antics from anyone in this country in a position of power is sorely mistaken.

spoken like a true fascist

the people are the authority

"...
governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it ..."

So democratically elected majority government becomes 'fascist' when you personally don't agree with the policies enacted by the ruling majority?

lolol... Oh shit that's funny! If you're this freaked out now, then it's REALLY going to suck to be you for the next 7 years, because Obama isn't going anywhere (nobody comes even remotely close to beating him in any head-to-head poll to date).

I mean damn dude, if you think you drink too much now, how drunk and depressed will you be when a black guy has been President for so long, that there will be an entire generation of little white kids in this country who have never known any other way but to be ruled by a strong, black man?

Owe-bama will not get a second term

what he will be remembered for is making is inflicting economic disaster on the country, and making life more difficult

already, as a result of the legislation being signed, holdings of US Treasury debt are in retrenchment, and mortgage rates have risen

in general, making the US both economically, and militarily less secure

Sure... Name the candidate.

lol... No, that's already Bush's legacy.

That was already assured back in the 80's, when the Reagan Republicans gave up on the country and rebuilt their entire political philosophy around putting self before country.

It's nice to see that you a few of you slower types have finally woken up to reality and joined the rest of us who have known for years that the country is in deep shit, because of the malfeasance of past 'leaders' only in it for themselves and their wealthy cronies.

The problem for you is, you have woken up hung over with a sore asshole, and are incorrectly blaming the guy who woke you, when you should be blaming the guy who fucked you all night while you slept.

tall, it seems you dont know shit about how much GW stimulated the economy. His tax cuts lead to growth that was not expected. you can think what you want, when clinton left office the economy was about to tank, then we got his with 9/11 which crashed the market.

On Jan. 22, 2001, when President George W. Bush took over the White House, the Nasdaq was in the midst of a post-dot-com freefall. Bush had the bad luck of taking office just before the economy went into a recession that March. But after a mini downturn, the American economy experienced a period of recovery and expansion, with the gross domestic product growing at a steady clip and productivity surging 22%. - Business Week

listen, do i think everything bush did was right? no, i do not, but put yourself in his shoes when 9/11 happened. the house vote was 296-133, and senate vote was 77-23...looks like enough dems voted to go to war too. when obama says he didnt vote for the war, no shitting, he wasnt even a senator to be able to vote. What would have happened if Obama was president when 9/11? Would he have said sorry to the families of the terrorists because they died on american soil?

Now do I think we need to cut back on military spending, yes we do, but not at the expense of the security of our borders. Not at the expense of the medical benefits of the people who served and protected this country.

Should every citizen have some type of medical benefits? Yes I do, but why is it easier for an illegal to get benefits in this country then someone who was born and raised here?

We can ALL agree there needs to be a lot of changes in this country. We need our elected officials to work on the same page instead of always going against the other just for the sake of it. It is viewed as a Us vs. Them thing....it should be a "Working towards whats best for americans"

Dude, ANYONE can "turn the economy around", when they cheat like hell and just put the bill on a Chinese credit card.

What, you don't think a company could turn a good looking profit on paper if someone was inflating revenues with a 15-20% cash injection on the front end?

What Bush did was much more akin to money laundering, not leading an economy to greater prosperity. (Basically what he did was borrow against future tax revenues and funneled as much of those funds as he legally could to a specific subset of the population (the 'investor class' as he kept referring to the mega-rich during his tenure). It's no mystery why this tiny subset of the population magically made out like bandits once Bush/Republican policies took effect, while almost the entire rest of the US workforce had their income stagnate for a decade.

Now do I think we need to cut back on military spending, yes we do, but not at the expense of the security of our borders. Not at the expense of the medical benefits of the people who served and protected this country.
Problem there is, Republicans strongly disagree with you and have a consistent record of inflating military budgets while concurrently screwing over veterans for pay and benefits. (this is a big reason why the military and vets voted so strongly for Obama against McCain, because even McCain had a shitty voting record of not supporting the troops once they came home)

Should every citizen have some type of medical benefits? Yes I do, but why is it easier for an illegal to get benefits in this country then someone who was born and raised here?
Ask Republicans. THEY are the ones who just voted to deny America's own citizens the same basic human rights that we extend to illegal aliens, enemies on the battlefield or rampaging criminals on our streets (all have the right to access to medical care if they need it under our laws, yet until the Dems passed the HCR Act, most working Americans DID NOT have the same rights!)

We can ALL agree there needs to be a lot of changes in this country. We need our elected officials to work on the same page instead of always going against the other just for the sake of it. It is viewed as a Us vs. Them thing....it should be a "Working towards whats best for americans"
Then we should all stop being suckers and stop voting for politicians all together. The minute a candidate joins a political party, that should be everyone's tell right there.

^Seriously... Funny how conservatives complain about 'activist judges', until the activism is in favor of unchecked corporate power and greed.

I guess some people are too weak to lead themselves, they have to be controlled for their own good.

There really is no proof that tax cuts stimulate the economy. In the short term it means a sea of red ink unless government cuts back spending which Bush never did. In the long term the 'proof' is even more nebulous since it would be very difficult the economy's performance to one single thing. An economy as complex as the US it is impossible.
