I am 27 years old and have never gotten a massage and have some questions...

- Do all massage places offer complete FULL BODY massages?
- Is there any kind of etiquette to follow?
- What if I get an erection? Will they still massage me or will I be asked to leave?
- Is it best to go to a parlor or get a private in call masseuse?
- How often is the mouth used during massages?
- Do I get to choose who massages me? Or am I just assigned someone randomly?

I don't want to embarrass myself or the masseuse or put either of us in an awkward and uncomfortable situation.

full body massges yes..but that does not include your dick or balls. You lay there relaxed and talk if you wish..but let the massage therapist know what feels good or doesn't feel good. Erections happen...a real therapist will ignore it and go about their biz... Dont go to a parlor...if you're going to go to an establishment...go to a reputable spa. You can be hurt if they MT doesn't know what their doing. and the mouth is NEVER used in a legit massage. At most spas you can recommend male or female..but you are stuck with who they give you for the most part.

If you're looking for a sex type massage...ugh...go online and find an escort, or someone that offers Erotic massage. Chances are they have no real formal training and you're risking getting hurt just to get sex or a hand job/blowjob.

Go for a REAL massage therapist with credentials/training first. That way you'll know the difference when/if you hire someone that is less trained or not trained at all.

Sorry If that came off as harsh in some spots...but I'm a degreed Neuromuscular therapist and a lot of my clients are just massage. It really pisses me off when they assume I'm going to do things sexually, when it says in my profiles that I do not. Those that do sex related massage are the ones that give the real deal people a bad rep and is why Massage in a lot of cities is found under Adult Entertainment in the phone books. sigh...

well if they ask on the phone I shut them down immediately and say if you're wanting a real massage...I'm happy to work on you..but if you're looking for sex..go elsewhere.

If they wait to get on my table and then expect things to happen or start getting grabby *and its not welcome* They are really risking getting hurt...a real MT knows pressue points and how to use them. Also, if they cross the line...the lights come on ..the massage is over and they still pay for the time I wasted. I'm no lil' guy...so they are taking a MAJOR risk. HOWEVER, if there is a mutual attraction...Mabye there can be something arranged after work..but never part of the massage. I'm no prude..but when you pay over 25k for an education ... no person is going to get me to risk my credibility and insurance for that. Also, If I was going to charge for sex...I'd be charging a LOT more than what I charge for massage...I'm not that cheap! hahaha

What kind of massage are you looking for? Usually they give you a form to fill out about why you want massage treatment, where you indicate what you'd like massaged. Usually they do neck, back, and upper chest (near your neck). This is what I know about Swedish Deep Tissue massages, and I can't speak for other types of massage.

Etiquette: They will leave you in a room to take off your shirt and you lay down on the table, face down, with your head in the holder. They will come in and cover your legs with a sheet and start massagine. Most masseurs/masseuses will sit you down first and explain the process. After the massage, the masseur/masseuse will leave the room and allow you to get changed and leave when you're ready (you might be a little lightheaded when you first get up).

By regulation, at least in Canada, registered massage therapists have to conduct the session in a room with a window on the door large enough for someone from the outside to be able to see all corners of the room, and the door cannot be locked from the inside. You can choose who you have to massage you when you make your appointment.

I've never heard of mouth being used in a massage, unless you're going for an erotic massage. Erections do happen in normal massages, but it depends on the masseur/masseuse - some don't tolerate it but others will just ignore it. You'll be on your front for most of the time, anyway, and unless you're getting a full body massage, your pants will stay on. You'll at least be covered by sheets or towels.

OK, this is my specialty.
Start out with a massage parlor instead of incall. There are some providers who are certified and have license that are independent that do incall but most of those do not offer extras. There is the rare one that you may find that does offer a handjob. Very rare to find a licensed one in massage parlor or incall that offers extras. So if you want extras, stay away from certified. They do however offer the best massages, usually. Some of the best massages I have had were from unlicensed asian women who gave extras, so you never know...

If it says massage, then it is usually full body. There are massage places that say 'foot massage'. Foot massage only but I have gotten handjobs there. Some places are legit and no 'happy ending'. Most asian massage parlors will give you the handjob at least. Unless they think you are police. Just act relaxed and be yourself and be friendly and 99% of the time, if they do give extras, then you will be offered one. Most of the time if the lady is dressed seductively, you will be offered extras. Usually just handjob but sometimes full service or a BJ.

If I am not offered one, I will politely ask them for one or I will give them a hint by rubbing my dick or playing with my nipples and then see what they have to say about that. If they don't want to give a handjob, don't force it. Just tell them thanks and give a little tip and try another place or girl.

I have gotten erections at strictly legit massages and the girls are always cool. They just tell me to relax and take a deep breath. Nothing to get embarrasssed about. Happens all the time to them and it's a natural response to being touched. Nothing to worry about.

Usually, it's a good idea to be a little bold if you go to a massage parlor. Ask them to see all the girls who are working and you want to take your pick. Be polite as always. These girls just want to be treated with respect and more often than not, they will take good care of you. A cop will most likely not ask to see all the girls to take a pick, so right off the bat they will think you're not police. Good start.

Alot of times if you see an ad for incall massage, those girls will most likely go all the way. Full service, probably blow job with condom on and intercourse. Most of the time their massage skills are nonexistent, so if you want a massage and happy ending, go to a massage parlor. And alot of these incall places will bait and switch, or alot of the time the girl pictured in the ad does not work there at all. It's a crapshoot.

I have had a cop walk in on me while getting massage twice. Just relax and be cool. Nothing they can do as long as you don't have your dick out with a condom on and she has her clothes on. It's pretty rare. I have seen hundreds of girls at massage parlors over the last 10 years and it's only happend twice and with the same girl at the same place.

I know it's all the rage with the "flow and glow" crowd, but my Pilates instructor (I know, but just go with it) suggested a change in my weight training routines along with a series of Rolfing sessions. The idea is to help delay the onset of lower spinal stenosis by "re-educating" my body to remember proper posture when sitting, standing, loafing on the couch topping The Squeeze. The bone doctors I've talked to all say the same thing (pinched/ruptured/decaying lower disks -- let's cut into you now). No knives, please.

By the way, your advice on seeking a licensed massage therapist who knows what they Hell he or she is doing is right on the money. :smile:

Well first of all...for Capt. Garbanzo. For a real massage therapist, its a slap in the face to expect a happy ending or even suggest one. Massage therapists that offer that are prostitutes plain and simple. They give the rest of us legit people a bad rep. I didn't pay over $25K for my degree to be a whore. **Granted I'd be paying off my student loans MUCH quicker if I were...* Glad you haven't been hurt.

SOOO Mid... I dunno what your Pilates instructor is smoking...but Rolfing is VERY painful...and only used for people that can deal with it. Yah it's effective..but if you're not used to it, it will probably be one of the worst experiences of your life. If i were you, I'd go see a Degree'd HHP or someone that has extensive training in Neuromuscular Therapy or Stuctural reintegration. As for some holistic approaches other than massage which is a definite good thing to do. I would increase your MSM, Glucosamine and Zinc intake as well as calcium for the degeneration. Try to keep the area around the bad area strong thru exercise...definite core work for the lower spine. I hope this helps. Feel free to pvt me or email me if you have any other questions.

I'm so glad you guys are giving legit answers - I'm not a massage therapist but I do work in frontline healthcare and it is not only offensive when some ignorant person propositions you, it's degrading. Like OCMuscleJock and psidom, I paid a hell of a lot of money and worked very hard to acquire my education. I work in a professional field, and my reputation for being a knowledgable, hard-working and professional indivdual is something I value too much to be insulted and have my time wasted by someone just looking for a quick slap & tickle. There are professionals for that too, go hunker down with your sticky yellow pages and leave us to our jobs. I love massage and have been treated by excellent CMTs. I've had erections during massage with female CMTs and male CMTs. It's very normal and a professional with integrity will either ignore it or reassure you about it's normalcy. With a professional, do not expect anything sexual. Enjoy!
