    fascinating story...

I do not support the sport but the 2 brothers were incredibly handsome...

Any images or further info on them? They both were injured at the end of the story...

they can look like adonis but they still are a couple of twats. I went to one in my childhood, the worst time I've spent surrounded by yelling people.

it's not at all PC, but i went to one in Mexico City w/my BF and was not looking forward to it at all. but i actually ended up cheering and getting caught up in the moment. i felt so badly afterward. i had to go to confession (true story) and i've never even entertained the thought of going back (to the fights, not confession, altho....)

oh i agree w/you. i just felt so guilty afterward for absolutely enjoying it. the plaza de toros in MC is the largest bullfighting arena in the world and it was filled to its almost 50,000 capacity the day we were there. and it was very hard not to get caught up in the cheering and screaming. everyone should go once.

Ooops I didnt remember their names, or I possibly would have seen the other thread. Thanks for linking the thread..

They are great looking. I do not support the "art" but I can appreciate the men's appearances. Very confident, machismo oozes...

Hey I caught it after football.. that Raiders O/T field goal finale we saw after Brett Favre kicked azz was what lead me into 60 Minutes. Don't usually watch but I will be checking their lineup for the next couple of weeks.

off topic.. great story on Bank of America, too..

    Also not PC, this joke:

A church group from the US was touring a small South American country when they passed their first bullring. The tour guide announced, "There, on the right, is the Plaza de toros. Bullfighting is our country's most popular sport."

"It's revolting," sniffed one of the ladies in the group.

"No, señora, that is our second most popular sport."

There was an interesting documentary on Finnish tv of the legendary matador El Cordobes, now about 80. Towards the end they showed a glimpse of him teaching his youngest son, just 20, who has decided to continue with his father's profession. He was lean, incredibly handsome, and his bulge, traditionally on the left in his skintight pants, looked delicious.

Only a country of genuine machismo can produce a male like the matador; in the traditional costumes, pink and gold, or bright colours and gold & silver, petite shoes, decorative and somewhat feminine, the contrast with the most masculine male shape and look is interesting. You gotta be a MAN to wear skintight, gold decorated pink pants, and pull it off

No wonder the famous Hollywood beauty, Ava Garner (a sucker for hung men, eg Frank Sinatra:) had a notorious affair with a leading matador of the era, Mario Cabre.

The torture of the bull is another matter...
