    Hi Guys,

Do you all remember Mattie who was on Oprah a few years ago with his poetry? Well, he died today. His mother was a classmate of mine in college. She also has the disorder that took his life .She was so vibrant and full of life and she related that spirit to her son.Can you believe it and we are complaining because the DVD player doesnt work correctly!

wvalady1968: I do remember him and his wonderfully poignant poetry....
Sometimes the good DO die young....
And leave us the worse for the loss.

I have no idea who Mattie was but to die at such a young age is just ... well, words fail me. It just brings home how bloody unfair life is. There are scumbags out there who care so little about life, they can kill others to further their own ideology and yet innocent, caring people can have their life taken before it's even started. A friend of mine had twins and one died of leukemia when he was 7. My partner died at 38 because of an accident (still too young). Things like this bring home to one just how crap life can be.

Mattie was described as a brilliant poet and appeared on Oprah so perhaps he managed to affect other people during his young life. My thoughts go ut to him and to his grieving family.

Yes Naughty, to moan about the DVD playing up or the fact that we were delayed 10 minutes by heavy traffic is rather pathetic isn't it.

I never moan about stuff that trivial.

Best we can do is make our lives mean something decent.

I had no idea who he was up until now, but he seemed like an extraordinary person with a great gift, I'll probably catch the full details when I pick up a paper today when I go out.

My deepest sympathies for your friend, there Naughty.

By the way, just what disorder did he have?

Some lights barely illuminate and last for a long, long time.

Other lights burn exceptionally bright but for too short a time.

Mattie was a brilliant light in our lives. God bless him.

bih20: I've seen the kid on TV..really really nice kid, very intelligent for his age. He has done what he was sent to do here, he has taught a lot of people.many different things, and now, he can rest in peace, and hopefully enjoy himself wherever he is.

HORSEHUNGshowoff: I hate to think of DEATH as a sad thing though in his case I did cry b/c he was a Beautiful Old Soul and had wisdom both in his poetry and his speech that far exceeded his young age.
I see Death More as a Reward and Life as the punishment for not having Evolved to the point where our souls no longer have to be in a state of incarnation, I know this is VERY Controversial but Hey , what AM I if NOT controversial on here ? lol ............ Had the impious KING JAMES not removed all references to reincarnation from the ORIGINAL scriptures more would believe but to gain control over the masses and make them believe this was ALL their life was the bastard Edited at his will .
I mourn for our loss and his parents loss but I celebrate the joy he now feels now that he is free from his pain and limitations

    The REAL deal
