You guys are asking for it. The trolls are ready to flame this thread!
I don't think I am a troll, but here goes. I'm glad to see some anti-Republican agenda people speaking up. For a while there, I thought that this place was becoming a Republican stronghold. For what reason I can't fathom. Palin and company would shut us down in a heart beat.
I don't hold it against the girl for being pregnant. I do hold the mother responsible for her abstinence only policy. McCain pulled a fast one. He nominates a woman with no experience hoping the Democrats will jump on that and then he can call foul Obama has none.
Then by getting a woman, he can claim that the Democrats turned their noses to Hillary. Truth is Palin isn't a real power, only a pawn in the game.
The evengelicals are just loving Palin. Obama is being a true gentlemen saying the daughter is off limits. But suppose Chelsea had gotten pregnant while Bill was in the White House. Do you honestly believe the Republicans would say the daughter of a President is off limits? No way.
McCain is 72. This is his last chance at being President. Whatever he has left in him being an independent is being sacrified at the altar of getting the evangelical and traditional Republican suppport.
If McCain/Palin wins, I don't know which would be worse, McCain having good health to serve out his term or that woman becoming president.
I do NOT approve of political parties trying to push their religious beliefs down the throats of people who are of a different religion or of no religion. And that is what this abortion and anti-gay agenda is all about: Making the religious right belief system the law of the land. Abortion is a religious and fmaily matter. It is not and should never be a moral issue for the federal government to be making any kind of decisions except to see that rights of people are NOT taken away or patients abused by a doctor etc.
