After years of support of Dubya's policies, and after all the criticism of Obama for wanting change from Washington business as usual, guess who is now the self proclaimed "champion of change"...the so-called "Maverick". You got it - old Johnny boy. Talk about jumping a bandwagon.

Unfortunately though his record (of support for Bush and mainstream Republican ideology) speaks too loudly of what stripes he truly wears.

So this latest ploy is just more Republican double-speak and flim-flamry. Why? Because they figure voters are stupid enough to fall for it...

...AGAIN.

McCain will say anything, do anything, kiss any ass, to be president. He has as much integrity as Bill O'Reilly, who has less than none. I loved the John Stewart compilation of what various "conservative" assholes said about teen pregnancies (mostly, it's the result of incompetent parents!) before Palin showed up with a knocked-up kid.

Republicans are evil. They will say anything and do anything to get power and to hold power to feed at the trough. Democrats really are a lot better, regardless of ideology. Mostly, if one Dem fucks up, there's another one who will knock him off.

Are you illiterate? Read Mccain/Kennedy Mccain/Liberman and tell me how he voted with or was even in the same mind set a Bush.

Exactly. Where would we be without the Daily Show? The montage with Karl Rove and Bill O'Reilly just flat out switching moral outrage to fit the circumstance. And the montage of John McCain's acceptance speech interleaved with GWB's just simply ingenious.

He voted with the republican majority 95% of the time....
but never mind...
McCain USED to be a maverick- he USED to buck the trend... way back-

But he has 'learned his lesson'. and now he is nothing but a hand puppet on the arm of the GOP.
It was made clear to him... no republican money nor support unless he toed the party line.

the GOP is the party of groupthink.
You are either with them or agin, them.

McCain made his choice...
he drank the koolaid....
every drop.

The Jon Stewart compilation was quite a peice of journalism. They played a clip of the O'Reilly Factor where O'Reilly was reading an email from a viewer, and then made it look like he contradicted himself when the Palin pregnency broke.

they werent even his words. He was reading a fucking email.

Impressive.

I've seen these two:

Sarah Palin Gender Card | The Daily Show | Comedy Central

John McCain's Big Acceptance Speech | The Daily Show | Comedy Central

Could you please post the O'Reilly clip that you referred to in post #7 starinvestor.

You guys are asking for it. The trolls are ready to flame this thread!
I don't think I am a troll, but here goes. I'm glad to see some anti-Republican agenda people speaking up. For a while there, I thought that this place was becoming a Republican stronghold. For what reason I can't fathom. Palin and company would shut us down in a heart beat.

I don't hold it against the girl for being pregnant. I do hold the mother responsible for her abstinence only policy. McCain pulled a fast one. He nominates a woman with no experience hoping the Democrats will jump on that and then he can call foul Obama has none.

Then by getting a woman, he can claim that the Democrats turned their noses to Hillary. Truth is Palin isn't a real power, only a pawn in the game.

The evengelicals are just loving Palin. Obama is being a true gentlemen saying the daughter is off limits. But suppose Chelsea had gotten pregnant while Bill was in the White House. Do you honestly believe the Republicans would say the daughter of a President is off limits? No way.

McCain is 72. This is his last chance at being President. Whatever he has left in him being an independent is being sacrified at the altar of getting the evangelical and traditional Republican suppport.

If McCain/Palin wins, I don't know which would be worse, McCain having good health to serve out his term or that woman becoming president.

I do NOT approve of political parties trying to push their religious beliefs down the throats of people who are of a different religion or of no religion. And that is what this abortion and anti-gay agenda is all about: Making the religious right belief system the law of the land. Abortion is a religious and fmaily matter. It is not and should never be a moral issue for the federal government to be making any kind of decisions except to see that rights of people are NOT taken away or patients abused by a doctor etc.

Why is Chelsea Clinton so Ugly?
Because her father is Janet Reno.

How dumb do you think I am?

Let's face it the conservatives depend on you not thinking. For instance how the frack can offshore drilling help a damn thing? They divert public attention from an unavoidable truth: a nation that uses one-quarter of the world’s oil while owning only 3 percent of its reserves cannot drill its way to happiness or self-sufficiency. But there they were at the RNC chanting 'Drill here drill now'. Facts just don't matter.

Jon Stewart Annihilates Sarah Palin's Media Surrogates | Comedy Central Insider - The Comedy Blog for Comedy Fans

there is the link dreamer.

New End - O'Reilly reads emails from people to give listeners a sample of the emails he recieves from the show. They don't echo his views as a rule - he just reads them.

Jon Stewart is a disciple of the tabloid media you refer to in previous posts. He is a comedian, not a news anchor.

I posted that video in post #8. In the video O'Reilly shows a picture of the parents of J.L.Spears with the label "Pinheads!" below them. O'Reilly expressed his views as follows Re:J.L.Spears:

O'Reilly said "On the pinhead front 16 year old Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant. The sister of Britney says she 'is shocked' by that."
O'Reilly continues "Here the blame falls primarily on the parents of the girl who obviously have little control over her... Incredible pinhead."

Unless you have some video footage to prove the contrary, it is hypocritical that the Palins were not given the same "pinhead" condemnation by him.

Sorry Star investor... Bill Orielly is not a journalist... and sadly, very few of the talking heads on the 'legitimate' news media do anything but read what is written for them by corporate agenda pushing authors...

A recent poll found that an increasingly large percentage of people under the age 35 are getting most of their "news" from the Daily Show.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are the only ones DOING what journalism is supposed to do-
hold the feet of authority to the fire.

Their montages showing the word for word similarity in the 'reporting' of ALL the various media pundits and reporters illustrates perfectly just how "artificial" those supposedly 'real' news operations are--- just how deep in the pocket of a coordinated spin system news reportage has become.

They may play it all for laughs... but mostly, its funny because it is so true.

Right now, in this republican/corporate world of propagandized information...
the Fake news, is the only news that is close to accurate. The only news even remotely truthful.

c'mon Phil. Can you at least try to be objective? Has your hatred for the right wing consumed your entire being? I know you are well read and interested in politics, your posts would be more engaging and believable if you could show some objectivity and humility instead of declaring war on every republican in existence.

I don't think you are dumb. You have been listening to the media so long that they only print stuff that is self serving. In the real world, journalists print footage that is both for and against every issue. Its how the real world should work. Keep watching Bill Maher with 3 dems and a token republican and an entire audience of screaming leftists - that's how you get where you are.

How the fuck do you know where I get my information from?
Is this your pathetic flame strategy?
Try and figure out why I am so smarter than you, by throwing shit and see what sticks?
You don't know shit, stupid monkey.
So I am not even going to dignify your shit throwing with anything more than it deserves.
Shitball in your face!
