Judging from my dimensions I am firmly in the large catagory but until I compare it with another guy, it will seem like a normal "average" size to me. Maybe it is because I compare myself to the likes of Mandingo, John Holmes and Lex Steele whom I watch most often in porn films - they are what I consider as big.

Before Television way back in the 50s I just knew I was living the good life in rural America. Then came TV. I did not know what I was missing out on.

Let me come at this from a slightly different angle. Some of my best experiences with "big"men were with guys whose confidence exceeded their actual measurements, but who cares? Their belief was what made the encounter interesting. Also met some very shy large men who just don't get it. That's okay, too, but makes the evening less interesting.

Dude, if you are bigger than the average, then you fit into the "large" category. There are other categories as well: very large, huge, and "you're not getting near me with that thing". Perhaps you don't meet the requirements for entry into those categories, but that's OK. Most men in the world do not. If nothing else, you have thickness on your side! Apparently a lot of people like girth (read an above post).

I think one reason some of us have a hard time accepting ourselves as large is because we've grown up looking down upon the thing, which isn't really the best vantage point. We grow accustomed to what we see, and to us it is "normal". Other guys' cocks look bigger because we often get a different perspective of them than we do our own. Plus, until we get to be a certain age, we really don't have much to compare ourselves to.

I think the easiest way for a guy to start accepting he has a large penis is by actually comparing hardons side by side with another male. Both men get hard, then stand facing each other and draw closer until the head of the longer dick is touching the groin of the other man. When you start winning enough of these informal size contests you'll be more secure in your role as a man with a big dick. Sorry if this isn't so easy for str8 men to do... get over yourselves and your macho man attitudes and start comparing dicks. This is a good point as well. Size truly is relative. Most of us on here are considered "large" because we are hung bigger than the average male in the western world. I would think in lands where men generally are considered to be smaller in both stature and penis size (say, China, Japan, and the Pacific Islands), 6" might be considered above average. And in regions where men seem to generally be larger in penis size (parts of Northern Europe, Scandinavia), 7" might only be average.

Likewise, if you are 7" and you are with someone else who is between 5 and 6" you will feel larger by comparison than if you are with a man who is between 8 and 9". So remember this thought... if you are at all concerned that you aren't all that big, make sure you hang out with guys with small peepees and you'll feel like a giant among them.

Well I have always been called BIG since I was 12. I knew something was wrong when I had a sleepover at a friends house one night and they wanted to compare and I was much bigger than the other 4 boys.

I know that I am not that big...I am bigger than average but at just around 8"x5.5" (depending on how hard I am) I am NOWHERE NEAR HUGE. I have to say though, I wield it like I were John Holmes.
