Actually the measuring seems to start near the 3 cm point at his head - and ends at the 18 cm mark as you points out, so properly measured he's probably 15-16 cm.

The camera is over the 11" or 12" mark which adds length. If the camera was over the 9" mark it would provide a better measurement.

The overall opinion seems to estimate John Holmes at 8 or 8.25". Unfortunately there have been some silly numbers as well like 7.25 or 7.5 which we should dismiss. If someone says 8.25 I think that is very reasonable.
My own view is bit longer 8.5" I say this because he wasn't always erect in his videos and its rare to find a guy longer than Holmes apart from a few modern guys. There is also Dick Rambone who was massive as well.

I can definitely attest to the second part. Having a large, fat head, the initial penetration experience can be quite intense. Especially when you're uncircumsized and more sensitive. I actually had a similar conclusion back when he posted in the 10k thread. He could be anywhere from 8-8.5 imo.
I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt at around 8.5 cause of how huge he looks regardless and of course in the video.
I didn’t watch videos just searched through a ton of images of Holmes in action. He doesn’t look any longer than Danny D to me. Actually a bit shorter in many of the ones I saw. Definitely huge length and girth though.
Danny D does have the advantage of modern camera tech though.

Well @sdp isn't 9 inches measured properly either. As stated you are suppose to stand up and measure your penis horizontal to the floor when measuring your dick. If he did this properly (which he won't) SDP is clearly under 9 inches.
