Well the obvious answer to the OP's question is that the "topside" measurement of your penis isn't the end all/be all determinate of it's size.

The topside measurement is only the measurement of the topside. Sounds obvious, I know... but there is honestly much more to the size of a penis than the topside length.

And like he mentioned, if you've got two hands on it and some room to spare, then you aren't grasping onto air.

True, you aren't graping on air.
But it's not a true method of measuring, just an indication. In my pics I can do the same, with pushing my balls. And my girlfriend isn't "petite" and she can stroke my penis with both hands without being 7".
All is in the measuring method, mine is standing up, parallel to the floor as much as possible (horizontal), from pubis bone to tip without pressure ( visible lenght )

I can grip my dick with both hands, plus have some left over. My ex-girlfriend had small hands, she could get three of her hands on it, and her thumb and index finger weren't long enough to meet, which is really hot.
But I agree that it is an awful way of measuring, but it's still good for bragging rights.
