God bless Tom Brokaw for stepping in and hosting for a while ... but Meet The Press just isn't the same since we lost Tim Russert.

Agreed. Tom Brokaw was the only one who could have possibly stepped into Tim Russert's shoes. . .but I still miss Tim every day during this historic campaign. He would have been so excited about everything that's been going on. It's just not the same without him.

(btw. . .I think Biden liked Tim a LOT more than Tom!)

Yeah, I think you're right! And I think a lot of people are feeling the loss. Tim Russert was such a competitive guy, I think having him gone has caused all those sunday talk shows to ease off and get a little softer, competitively, because Russert was just driving the bus for all of them.

Don't mean that as a slap against Stephanopolous or any of the others ... the loss of Tim Russert has just changed the chemistry that much.

Totally agree. Tim was in a league of his own and there will never be another just like him. I'll miss the dry-erase whiteboard this November!
