Agreed. Tom Brokaw was the only one who could have possibly stepped into Tim Russert's shoes. . .but I still miss Tim every day during this historic campaign. He would have been so excited about everything that's been going on. It's just not the same without him.

(btw. . .I think Biden liked Tim a LOT more than Tom!)

Yeah, I think you're right! And I think a lot of people are feeling the loss. Tim Russert was such a competitive guy, I think having him gone has caused all those sunday talk shows to ease off and get a little softer, competitively, because Russert was just driving the bus for all of them.

Don't mean that as a slap against Stephanopolous or any of the others ... the loss of Tim Russert has just changed the chemistry that much.

Totally agree. Tim was in a league of his own and there will never be another just like him. I'll miss the dry-erase whiteboard this November!
