I don't know what happened in NYC @ 3 years ago when all of a sudden everywhere you went men were wearing flip flops. To me it looks ridiculous if you're not on the beach or at some sauna.
All over the city men must be getting hammertoes from gnarling their hideous toes towards the pavement trying to keep the ugly footwear on. 90% of the guys are practically falling out of them.
The the hideous day that I knew would arrive arrived.....I saw some trendster in a buisness suit and flip flps walking down the street, midtown 5th avenue, w/o even the faintest smirk on his face. Does it get any uglier?
When will this ugly trend ever end? Dear God tell me.

Ok, so I'm really sorry, but I couldn't disagree more. Fellow Foot Fetishists, rejoice; our day has arrived!!!!

Well HKM in Hawaii, they are called rubber slippers! I myself wear them all the time. But I have nice feet that visit a pedicurist every week. So if you have the feet for them... I love them. If your feet look like potatoes then perhaps another choice of footwear is in order.

I consider Hawaii the beach so ok. NYC.....ummm no. Paved city streets and stores....no.
Trust me I am not the footwear fashion police by any means...just voicing my opinion on this hideous trend.

I've been saying all along that flip-flops and pants just shouldn't be seen together, ever. It looks bad, to me at least. I don't get it...is it cold, hot, what? I have no problem with flip-flops and shorts though. Flip-flops are footwear, and if it's hot out and you want to feel a breeze on your toes and the in-between spaces, go for it.

Also, are you talking just about that one type of sandal, or all sandals?

Just the flip flps. Good question. One expects to see sandals in the summer on men. FF's just scream the beach or some such place. At least sandals go w/a light pant e.g. linen light pants in the summer. That doesn't even seem out of place.
FF's don't seem wrong on women even in the city for some reason I guess b/c we/re more than used to seeing women wear all sorts of slip on footwear. Men just look silly in them in the city.....any city.

Beach or poolside. Otherwise, they're emasculating. They make you look weak. In fact, you're at a serious disadvantage in them. What would you do if you had to fight in them? You'd get yer ass kicked, that's what.

Getting in a bar fight is something I've never taken into consideration when buying footwear...but I'll keep it in mind.
I know it's a city silly. But one, esp if they haven't been there thinks of it as a beachy type place and expects to see that. And dude I like you but no more feet pix...even if yrs are nice.:biggrin1:
You just made me want to take more pictures of my feet...back in a flash!

IMHO 90% of men have ugly feet with toes that look like they want to play Twister. :yuck: Of the remaining 10% with normal looking toes only 5% care for their feet properly. Cheese belongs on a cracker dudes not under your toe nails!

Sorry I hadn't realized we didn't before..not that we cant. Oh and I didn't even mention most men's denial about the shape/care and look of the toenails. Ok I'm gonna hurl now.
:yuck: When the toe nails look like a piece of bumpy lemon rind I want to HURL :puke:

Funny, I had you pegged as having been a frequent bar brawler in your youth.

Flip Flops are VERY annoying to me. On men they are just down right disgusting! Although I've always hated them (especially the annoying sound they make), lately I must say that I'm kinda digging them on women. With the right combo of flip flops and short shorts they almost give me the sense that they're walking around half naked (I guess to some people that may seem disgusting too?).
