Perfume is for women... Cologne is perfume. Men, don't let your woman turn you into a floral scented wussys. All perfume sucks. they should ban it in bars and restaurants and especially on airplanes. I'd rather sit next to a smoker... a smoker who is smoking.

The sense of smell has the longest memory of any of the senses. I still remember the smell of a pancake restaurant from when I was very young (6-8 years old). My wife talks about loving the smell of her father who wore Old Spice. I have thought many times over the years of wearing some Old Spice, but it kind of freaks me out.

Absolutely! Once TheBoyfriend begins wearing a scent, I don't want him to stop because of the feelings it evokes when I smell it.

I recently read that a woman's ability to detect musk in a scent is 1000x more powerful than a man's ability to detect it, which may account for differences in preferences in cologne.

I've never bothered wearing cologne. One of my coworkers has an obscene amount, and he always reeks, you can smell it on the elevator 10 minutes after he has gotten off.

So, just soap and deodorant for me, with a very occasional bout of aftershave.
Same goes for me - I never wear it and one of my co-workers damn near BATHES in the cologne he wears every day - plus he sits in a cube directly outside my office. Hey, I guess I don't need to bother wearing it at work, since the entire office reeks of it anyway...

Well You should always shower before you put on cologne anyway. The cologne is like the cherry on top.

If you want something that is absolute "joy in a bottle", get Mania by Armani. Women loves this cologne. I only use it for special occasions.

I have Essential by Lacoste, Burrberry Britt, and Gucci Poure Home II. I use these three in rotation.

Always shower (or just be clean) before applying cologne.

I absolutely LOVE to wear Armani Mania for women.

I like the one for men on a man as well, along with Cool Water and Boss Bottled.

I guess it depends on the man though. Some wear a cologne that smells wonderful on them, and when someone else wears it, it stinks.
