Hmmm. And I've dumped one or two over that idea that every trivial occasion is an excuse for mandatory gift-giving. Years ago I realized that I was not meant to spend my life shopping for crummy little gifts. But I have yet to encounter a woman who agrees that I might have a valid stand on the issue.

I doubt that you will ever find one.I believe that these "little holidays"
are made ,not just for women, but for people to let each other know, that
someone is thinking about them.
Buying a card or some little trinket is just another way to say, I love you, I like you, or I'm glad I met you! And you really don't need a reconizable "holiday" to do this, but it helps ,if your memory stinks!

Aww how cute, I missed this post by the irrepressible Big Dirge.

Well dude, looks like it's you and me riding off into the sunset after all. I hate mandatory gift giving. If you're out and see a refrigerator magnet that makes you think of me, pick it up. I don't care what day it is, and I don't need trinkets to commemorate special holidays. I despise consumer holidays like Valentine's and the like, and I'd much prefer someone arrange to hang out with me than send me some crappy flowers I'm probably going to kill anyway.

As to the topic, I find the company of most women insufferable, and do everything I can to stay in as male-centric an environment as humanly possible. Among my gripes:

1) women who play weak and stupid.
2) women who ARE weak and stupid.
3) women who focus on trivialities and act as if they're fascinating topics of conversation. No one gives a fuck where your dress came from, you stupid bitch!
4) women who think having a cunt means they deserve to be paid for sex. Get a job, you fucking lazy golddigger. Especially if you don't have kids, being "homemaker" is not an excuse for a life. Do your share of the household chores, and get out and DO something useful with your time.
5) while men are mainly at fault for expecting us to be dumb, I blame women for playing into the stereotype just to "get" a man. Grow up, being a person is more important than being half of a couple.
6) women who are perpetually helpless. Ugh. You make me want to take a shower.
7) women who want equal rights without equal responsibilities.
8) women who obsess about their weight to the point that they are lousy lays. Not everyone is a size 3, if a guy is about to fuck you, he obviously is okay with your size. If you suck his dick, he'll think you're a supermodel!
Nobody wants to be forced to play psychologist or body image counsellor when they're trying to get laid.
9) women who swoon, faint, or are easily offended. If you're over 18, grow the fuck up.
10) women who, in general, act like the stereotypical clueless vaccuous airheads men already think we are. You make life all but impossible for the few of us who actually do want to be judged by our character, and not the fact that we have two tits and one pussy.

I do have some women friends, needless to say they are few and far between.

This thread is inspired by the_thread started by LordPendragon. I thought it was fair to give you gents a chance to vent, too.

Ok gentlemen, gloves off. Women.

What really chafes your taint, makes your blood boil, makes you want to rip our heads off and stick it up our ass?

Go.

Haha, right on MZ, love it!

I do get my nails done on occasion (the acrylic kind) but only because I chew my natural one's down to nubs if I don't have the fakies on. But women who go to the EXTREME to look PLASTIC annoy the fuck outta me. I also get my hair done, but only because I have the most unmanagable set of unruly curly locks in the world, if I didn't get a 80$ h/c I'd be walking around looking like I stuck my tit in a light socket.

Man I love the women on this board....

Trying to think of specific things about women. Well this also goes for men, but I hate women who have a vendetta against the whole male species simply because she may have been fucked over once or twice.

Also fake women, ones who will only socialise and be nice to you if its in their benefit. I have dealt with this when I got into a higer position in my last work, suddenly women who wouldnt give me the time of day before were all nice to me. Hate them with a passion.

Generally though I love women, I love people.

Cheers

Yes indeed, my little sand tiger, I knew right off that you were different.

In Pogo, Walt Kelly celebrated any random gift-giving occasion as "Happy Farmer's Wash Day." Farmer's Wash Day isn't obligatory, and I think that lack of regimentation makes all the difference.

Don't get me wrong, I've gotten my hair/nails done sometimes too, but it isn't the central focus of my life. I think it's nice to pay extra attention to one's appearance when it's warranted, but not constantly and exclusively. My main objection is to those women who think once they fuck a guy, HE is instantly responsible for paying for their upkeep.

It's sand nigger in my circle!

It makes me sad that wash day isn't obligatory.

I like to give gifts that fill a need or want of someone I care about, just because I like them. I don't like being told when I must be thoughtful. I'm a hypocrite about my birthday though, I want at least an acknowledgement for that because it's three fucking days before xmas, and I hate people expecting two gifts from me for these two SEPARATE occasions, but give me the combo gifts. However, a phone call is sufficent for out of town friends, or an hour for a cup of coffee or whatever for those close enough to see me.

Well then, since there is debate as to which day it is, one of us was born on the Mayan end of the world day, in 2012. I pick me.

Oops, I thought they'd postponed that End Of The World thing. Or decided that it was a sort of mesoAmerican "Y2k" misapprehension. Besides, like most doomsday scenarios, it's bad for investment.

Right, right...I hear ya. Like the guy I'm seeing is always so shocked when he offers to buy me stuff (clothes, pedi/mani's) or even pay for dinner each and everytime we go out...and I'm like "nah, I got my own money". I guess most women he's dated sort of expected it. Not my style though, I'm a grown woman with a full time job, ain't nobody's job make me pretty, ,dress me up, or feed me 5 days a week  !

It hits on my nerves when women (obviously, some of the women I know, not all of them) start arguing and discussing, raise voice, blame him of everything, and then cry incontrollably when they realize they are wrong or when him POLITELY points out their responsabilities.

To be honest, I am speaking about one in particular, who always did this in discussions.

I actually like women on the whole, I have a few very good close female friends, one of whom I've been friends with for 44 years and is closer to me than any sister ever could be. What I don't like are -

1 - Women who judge other women without having walked a mile in their shoes.

2 - Women who are too eager to attack other women and always see them as competition.

3 - Women who confuse hostility with assertiveness.

4 - Women think being treated equally means we have to behave equally - we're women, we're different from men and always will be.

5 - Women who have kids then sit them in front of a tv screen all day so they can get on with their lives - if we're going to have kids we have to devote the time and love to them that they need.

6 - Women who take themselves too seriously.

7 - Women who read self help books and feed into the crap they churn out.

I'm afraid in some ways I'm the steretypical woman, I love shoes, I love pretty things, I love gifts, stereotypes can only exist if the pattern is there to base them on. Little surprise gifts (one of my favourites ever was matching keyrings my ex got us) mean my man's thinking of me when I'm not with him and make me feel all warm and horny.

Here are some traits I hate in women.

1. Wimpy women who rely on their looks to get by in life and have no redeming social skills, spiritual life, interests, convictions, passions other than their looks, and are basically empty. Empty heads, empty hearts, and lost. Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Anna Nichol Smith come to mind.

2. Since they can't vent their aggressions physically they do this passive aggressive deceptive, calculated, mind control act which is paper thin and gets to be a bore. Why can't they just be honest, vent their rage and get it out of their system instead of dwelling on it for sometimes years?

3. Women I believe are crueler than men. They are suprisingly much cruler to each other than men are to each other. They are masters of manipulating affection and feelings to get things. They can fake orgasms, fake sex, fake love, fake tears and usually never wear their hearts on their sleeve. I hate the deceptive qualities of some women.

4. They read into everything. Everything has a deeper meaning. They drive themselves crazy wondering why he said this or did that while most men could care less.
