Damn, that sounds fun, were there any young guys there? Could the NYC guys here start a group like that??
I believe that men can be naked together and it not be sexual, to me that is the best, I love being in the sauna or hot tub naked with old vets talking about history or current events. I know that may sound silly but I love learning and whats better way? Plus, with men being naked, the man is more relaxed and open.

I've PMed you a few times offering to send links and introduce you to the NYC group. You have not replied.

Anybody have any links about these courses, places, groups, massages?

Tell us where you are and we might be able to dig some up.

I highly suggest taking CBE so that you can experience for yourself what it is like. Many, many massage therapists take the entire Body Electric program (and oddly enough so do clergy (Body Electric was founded by a Jesuit)) because they find it enhances their practice. Here's their website.
After browsing their website, I'll admit that I'm very curious to try this out. I am completely open to discovering new sides to my "maleness" and my sexuality. The physical part of CBE intrigues me, but I'm a little cautious about the emotional aspects. I worry that the psychological components of CBE would repel me - group psychotherapy is just not my thing.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. CBE is not as intense as any of the other Body Electric offerings. They keep it light and fun more than anything. There are circles where you discuss feelings, goals for the workshop, what you thought of the last exercise, how you relate to your father and other males, what you think of yourself and your body-- that sort of thing. There are no right answers so say what ever you like and just go with it. You take from it what you like and discard what you don't.

Boy. This whole men's massage thing is NEW to me! I live in southern CA, I've heard of a lot of stuff here but never heard of this.

I've read through most of the comments posted & the idea sounds intriguing. What I take away is that it's supposed to be like a male bonding experience where you strip physically (and emotionally?) and "relate" to each other in a much more intimate environment than you could in the "real" world. (....?)

I am a bit confused though. Some of the threads say the seminar is "non-sexual...completely platonic...no sexual pressure...naked if you choose...standing circle massage....interacting, bonding..." etc.

Then, in other comments I read about "genital massages" & "guys with semis" walking around, if not with full erections.

----------

isn't it safe to assume that guys with bicurious tendencies would attend these things? Guys that are not yet adventurous enough to experience authentic one-on-one homo-sex, but rather seek a structured setting to achieve many of the same goals, getting a lot of the benefits of homo-sex - minus the ejaculation? I KNOW this type of seminar is supposed to be on a "higher" spiritual plane than guy/guy sex, but it seems to me that the whole POINT of this kind of intense male bonding (exploring "maleness") is always working towards the idea of comfortable interacting, comfortable touching, even comfortable male/male orgasm.

I think the difference you see in the threads is due to the fact that we are talking about different types of massage sessions. At least with the group that I participated in, the "basic" session was not sexual at all. The same group has an "advanced" session that incorporates Body Electric concepts. I haven't been to that session but have a feeling it will lean closer to your second example than the first.

It would be interesting to hear from some of the "100% Straight" guys on this point. I have to admit that before I identified/acknowledged my bicurious tendencies there is no way in hell you could have talked me into going to even the basic session. I grew up boxing, wrestling and playing football. From that perspective, any male on male touching was strictly for purposes of inflicting pain or establishing physical superiority. The idea of massaging another guy was clearly gay. How time and perspective can change attitudes...

There are different seminars with different purposes. You'll be disappointed if you're going to get a cheap thrill because you forget about the nudity pretty quickly. The nudity won't matter at all by lunch time. What matters is having a good time and learning about yourself and your interactions with lovers. Treat yourself and the material you learn with respect and you'll find it a positive experience.

Sometimes straight guys do attend these things for various reasons. I know two straight men who have been to Body Electric seminars. Their reasons for attending made a great deal of sense to me and I found both of them secure enough in their sexuality to enjoy themselves and achieve their goals.

I had some of the same thoughts, and then just a couple of days ago saw this film:

Amazon.com: Aaron Star's Hot Nude Yoga: Virgin: Aaron Star, Michael Selditch: Movies & TV

I have to tell you I was amazed at how something could be so sensual and yet not sexual in the way we usually think of it. It was at points sexual in a sensual spiritual sense. (Yes, I know what he heck does that mean?, lol) I know I really didn't know how to wrap my head around this exactly either until I saw this film for myself. I still can't really describe the experience I witnessed in it in words, it's so wonderfully different than what most of us are used to that perhaps one needs to see it for themselves to get what it truly is like as an experience. After seeing this I am very open to trying it I think; it was kind of amazing to watch and I felt the spiritual sensual connection and very relaxed and yet sometimes aroused a bit all at the same time at various points watching this film.

I just looked up some more information about the place where this was filmed myself:
