My husband always tosses the old ones when he buys new underwear, but doesn't understand why I save mine. LOL

eurgh! in three hours i made my divacup overflow and splutted badly today. out and about, obviously.
not fun. not fun at all.

Dolfette, is it safe to use a divacup when you're expecting your period? (There are some days when I'm expecting mine, that I know that I won't be able to dash to the bathroom to check my liner, and want to be "safe.") Thanks.

I would expect that the diva cup leaks (since it can't expand to fill the vaginal folds like a tampon could). Has anyone experienced leaks with the diva cup?

SAME. it's fucking annoying. the liners are annoying, but i try to remember to put it on. sometimes, honestly, i just friggin' forget. the last time it happened i was about to sit down to see a musical in a theatre. i was mortified, but luckily nothing went through. the bathroom had nothing in it either! i had to use tissue paper. lmao.

also, with the bloody undies...usually if you catch it fairly quickly, you can just use ice cold water then run burning hot water (just from the faucet that is), and then use soap to get all the blood out. works every time, and i waste very few undies that way. even for spots when you leak, and what not. :) good old fashioned water works wonders. most of the water gets it out, and then the soap will help, too. hand soap actually works pretty good.

Are you done having kids? Have you considered this? Endometrial Ablation Procedure Information by MedicineNet.com

After youve dealt with periods for years and years it becomes pretty freakin tiresome, and for a lot of women after you have kids they can become very heavy and even cause anemia. I opted to just have mine removed but you can also do the ablation which sometimes will even stop a period, but will greatly reduce the bleeding.
