A fair amount of people use MSN. But how many people over personalize theirs? I want to use plug ins for the program but I'm not sure how well they work.

So tell me how do you mess with your messenger?
I have the following:
-different colour chat panes for every friend
-all close friends have their own backgrounds
-specialized text colours

Weeeellllll.... sweetie pie.... I'm very computer literate.

The more cutsie crap you bugger the programs up with, and your desktop, etc etc, the more system resources it eats up to do more important things. So suddenly your out of memory to run critical apps, because your icons ate it up so they could blink and make fancy faces.

Mine is very basic. No XP fancy bubbly icons, no background, no shading, no slow cascading. I do alot of work on this PC, and i'd rather have the performance than the cutsie stuff. I've got it stripped down to core functions, and applications that I use frequently.

But that's just me :)

Yes my computer has a hard life... wake from standby, open msn, yahoo, lpsg, big d, winamp, check outlook, check hotmail, reply to threads... after a few hours... standby again. I think with it's overly un-used hard drive it can look pretty. I'm also quite a program packrat... I like programs that do things...
Desktop with pretty black and clean icon list
Program list... un elaborated..

I didn't like AIM at all it has a totally different feel to Yahoo or MSN, a friend recommended meboo to me, I'm not sure what he said something about 'it lets you use them all as net based things' or something like that, it was too complicated for me but on his recommendation I told people about it and they all said it was great.

Yeah my friend told me about something like that... but I couldn't personalize it like I wanted... so I declined on getting it.
