Metrosexual guys I think as the "pretty boys" who are very concerned with their appearance and trendy like gay guys and have a lot similar interests. They could be perfectly straight. Bisexual guys like both sexes.

I'm bisexual but I don't consider myself metrosexual.

Just because a man might be "metrosexual", doesn't mean he's bisexual.

    Two different things.

You can be image consious and still be totally straight. I don't see a correlation between the 2.

think metrosexuals are nothing but narcissistic brand whores with penises.

Though I find their concern with trend and slavery to fashion and skin care products less than masculine, it has little to do with their sexual preferences... except that they tend to be somewhat softer versions of men.

Any confusion about their sexual identities is the result of allowing gay men to dictate what is considered fashionable in modern society.
Follow the recommendations of gay designers and you end up looking like a gay man.

I really don't know why "metrosexual" was coined when we have a perfectly good word: dandy.

I think im becoming a bit metro, but i have to, ive noticed how guys now take more care to themselvs, and if you want to get noticed by the ladies, u have to take more care of yourself, my cousin its a full metro now, he spends most of his paycheck on high end clothes, perfumes, jeans, and facials and such, but i do put a limit in what i would do to take more care of myself

I'd probably come under metro, only when im going out at night tho, because i dress stylish, do me hair, use collonge etc. The rest of the time i still dress well but casually.

Anyway, i'm definately not bisexual lol i dress like that to get women.

I think that the term metrosexual is getting confused with "Fashion Victims" by many people. To me it means simply you take some extra care with your grooming, hygiene and appearance. It's basically putting your best foot forward appearance wise. Sexuality has nothing to do with it.
    Urban Dictionary: fashion victim

Nothing metro about dressing well... when called for.

    But 'facials'?

    Hair Mousse?

c'mon.... ladies, are you really drawn to men who obviously spend a lot of time primping and fussing over their fucking do?

I'm fine with the metrosexual label. I'll do the facials, get my eyebrows groomed, slap a little goo in my hair, but I don't do the "man bag". Gym bag or briefcase - no problem. No purse for me. Thank you.

When i think of proper metros I think pretty boys, hair is perfect, fake tan, man bag, feminine, well built, trying to be trendy but try too hard and end up looking super camp, perfect skin etc...

... well i think of myself hetro, but my mates say im a bit metro simply because I buy expensive clothing, nice fragrances, like to look my best, use all kinds of products, and have a slighty feminine personality.

metro is basically a gay looking straight guy.

Metrosexual is just a straight man with taste. It's like everything else, in order to understand it people need to put it in its own box and name it. The guy may not even be particularly effeminate but the only acceptable way to explain the fact he likes nice things is to label him a Metrosexual.

That's why I've always hated the term "metrosexual." Morons confuse it with an actual orientation. Since it is completely unrelated to sexuality in all ways, the "-sexual" portion of the word is inapplicable. Bbucko has it right... we already have non-confusing terms like "dandy," "fop," "dapper," etc.
