Yes I think that will be the case as well, especially with so many idiotic tea-baggers running for the House!

One thing though, I made the necessary change in your quote I thought was warranted :redface::wink:

~HH~

thanks babe ---- I think our politics & culture eventually WILL change our long standing colloquialisms! I just hope they never take out the phrase, "Make the Yuletide gay!":biggrin1::eek:

I believe the Democrats will lose control of the House, at least. I'm afraid I have less faith in the common sense of the majority those voters in key battleground states who will be the most motivated to go to the polls this time around.

But then again, I've already suggested a theory (similar to what S.Fish has posted above) that Tea Partiers/Republicans (they ARE one and the same) would have to gain control in Congress in order for America to truly see what they're all about.

The ultimate fruition of their movement, and the final revelation of the true wack jobs they are, will ensure the next President won't be a Republican.

Wow, You Liberals are DELUSIONAL! Dems will most likely hold onto the Senate but they are gonna lose the House by a huge margin. Where in the Hell do you guys get your news? And this will be the nightmare senario for Obama because if the Republicans win both houses then at least he will have somthing to run against in 2012. With a republican house and a democrat senate and president, he is totally fucked come 2012. And then, mark my words, we will have a republican House, senate, and White House.

Two years ago, all you liberals jumped around saying this proves that the country has moved to the left. Ha! the left is about to get drilled come tuesday. The election of 2008 was a referendum on Bush. Tuesday is gonna be a referendum on Obama and the Dems. Its not about the republicans or the tea party, its about the public's rejection of Obamas agenda.

Idiocy never rules for long, because it can't sustain itself.

Especially when you've got a few million of those old racist dipshit white voters dying off every year from now on until they're gone.

The only thing this election is proving is that America is much, much worse off than anybody would have believed even 3 years ago. The rich are royally fucking Americans in every conceivable way they can right now, and it's only going to get worse until the people at large wake up and realize this partisan shit is a game to get them fighting each other, not the rich who are fucking them.

It is not so much a rejection of Obama's policies, its is the people's unhappiness that he could not magically fix the broken economy left to him by the previous administration in just 2 short years.

Not true. The polls clearly show that americans are not only mad that things arent fixed, but they reject the means in which he has imployed to fix them. Wastful spending and huge deficits. He spent to much time on a shitty shitty shitty health care bill that most americans want repealed, while essentially ignoring the real issue americans want to see progress in, Jobs and the economy. He is going to raise taxes on the majority of Job creators come January. He was trying to get Cap and trade passed. He has no leadership ability whatsoever. The truth is, the public has seen how Obama wants to fix things, and they dont like it.

I would say that regarding the polls, the GOP strategy of obstructionism at all costs has worked. Personally, I don't put a lot of stock in polls though. There is still a pretty large base who supports Obama and the expected GOP gains will force them to work with our President and actually have some skin in the game.

Pitbull predicts.
Democrats lose
Lose big.
Bigger than anyone is predicting.
Republicans will increase with a positive turnover of more than 70 seats in the house.
Republicans will have at least 52-48 edge in Senate
(Joe Leiberman may actually consider switching to Republican to keep committee chairmanship)
Reid will lose.
Rubio wins Florida
Miller wins in Alaska

Governor races - Overwhelming Republican
Many state legislatures will be Republican controlled which will give them the edge in redistricting.

Vote fraud will be overwhelming committed by Democrats.
Absentee ballots, vote machine rigging, intimidation of voters.

Get yourselves lots of tissues and Excederin.
"There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth"

See you Wednesday :biggrin1:

^ Don't worry it will be another turnover in the next cycle. American's are looking for someone to pay for their own mistakes but alas it will be themselves who have to pay the fiddler for beliving voodoo economics, open trade and tax cuts actually work.
The see-saw nature of the nation's politics raises a question: How can the country solve its long-term problems—deficit spending, an underfunded Social Security system, spiraling health-care costs—when voters seem so uncertain which party should lead the charge?

Revival of Volatility

Except for the fact that Obama inherited a huge deficit and a lousy economy. Even if Obama did not spend a penny, the deficit would have gone up due to interest on the existing debt and lower tax revenue due to the recession. People have short memories.

People have no memory at all. But they do know Lindsey Lohan's in rehab

Dude, get off of the hallucenogenic drugs.

And if your predictions were to come to pass, I would know again, as I have in the past, that I live in a very stupid country, which is able to get it right only rarely.

That's precisely the argument I've been making here for weeks, Sargon. People do indeed have short memory and in their minds the persons responsible for the slowness of the recovery are not the Republicans who've offered nothing but obstruction and criticism, but the ones who worked to address the problems.

My solution: LET the "do nothings" who didn't have anything TO do but criticize, put actions where their mouths have been. LET them take control, because then what does and doesn't happen will be ON THEM.

Take for instance the Consumer Protection Act that Republicans fought tooth and nail against - the one limiting how fast and how often credit card companies can jack up our APR's, the one requiring them to disclose the amount of interest we pay, along with other protections.

No doubt they'll rush to undo that, as well as privatizing Social Security (one Tea Party candidate wants to finance it with drilling on government state park land???) they’ll undo all the programs that sent funding to state governments, they'll drop extended Unemployment Benefits and a whole lot more.

But THEN what? How will they address the economy (short of creating more tax shelters for the wealthy, relaxing regulations on business, and doling out offshore drilling permits)??

LET them be in charge and RESPONSIBLE for a change. Hell, if I were Obama, I'd pledge to sign everything they send across my desk. ("The American people have spoken, and I have heard.")

I figure after two years of getting royally FUCKED by those guys (by which time our APR’s will be around 33% and gas around $5.10 “but we won’t raise yer taxes”), by then everyone will be GOOD and ready for a change...

... again.

New rule... Anyone who claims that the supposed "new tide" of anger generated by some American citizens is due to this administration's wasteful spending, yet don't mind putting back in the people who drove our economy down the crapper in the first place are IDIOTS. Period. Have we forgotten that these so-called economically responsible politicians support extending Bush's tax cuts for everyone including the top 2% which will also add another few Trillion to the deficit? Of course you have... because it isn't about the details and the facts for some of your morons who chirp more rhetoric than a prostitute sucks dicks... it's all about "winning" for you guys, isn't it?

Also, another new rule... if the Republicans don't win 60 seats in the Senate, their gains in the House will amount to jack shit. Need we remind the rest of the idiots who beat their chest about a Republican takeover that Senate rules have not been revised and the filibuster can still be abused? Gee, what do you think is gonna happen when anyone tries to pass a bill (if not go on some mindless tirade to impeach the President)? But hey, as long as your boys "win", right? Seriously... you actually had a president that was willing to listen to the opposition and consider your positions. Instead you label him everything under the kitchen sink (except the N-word because we all know that's out of bounds... at least those not in the Bible belt) and let your boys block practically everything. INCLUDING revising Senate rules so that no party in the minority can abuse the filibuster. Forget that you need both the House & Senate to approve of measures before they go to the President who can still veto? Alas, none of the gun-touting Tehadists (in the midst of screaming about Obamacare and smaller government) forgot to pay attention to what was really going on. And here they hoot & holler, thinking that they're going to take everything back during a midterm. Because policy doesn't mean shit to them and all of their rhetorical cries to restore America have no substance. THEY JUST WANT TO WIN.

Good job, stupid people of America. What a way to let partisan ignorance and ideological bigotry blind you from the important stuff these last two years!

I know, I know.... but sometimes I just have to let it all out.
Better this way than quoting & pummeling some of the obvious dingbats with facts.

Maybe... it would be great to see at least the most extreme of candidates voted down tomorrow. Perhaps if the people who are greedy enough for power to spend hundreds of millions of dollars just to win a midterm election lose, it would actually restore some faith in me about America and its citizens. But right now, after reviewing all of the hate & fear mustered up by the opposition for nothing more than to divide people on the most basic levels of ignorance, it's enough to make anyone scream out in disgust.

Here's hoping for the best tomorrow.
