I love the fall as well, the weather and the changing leaves on the trees.

Though the days are shortening and a chill is in the air I think its the best time of year. Every sunny day in fall is a gift to be savored.

For me, fall has always been an opportunity to look back over the spring and summer count my accomplishments and blessings. While I was in school fall always represented a beginning, a new academic year.

I love fall. Even though it wreaks havoc...it also instills in me a peaceful sort of melancholy and reflection that i savor.

I basically agree with both of the above sentiments. However, this year feels different. Fall snuck up on me somehow, and I wasn't ready for it. I still can't believe it's September already; it's even harder to believe that September is mostly over and October is right around the corner. I want at least another month of summer.

Sometimes, here in New England, summer lingers well into September. Not this year. Not only is it too cool for shorts, but I'm wearing long sleeves and a jacket, and I've shut the windows.

I'm also not feeling contemplative the way I normally do in the fall. I used to celebrate the pagan Sabbats that fall on the equinoxes and solstices, but this year I feel very disconnected from the season.

It's still beautiful, though. The sunny days and cold nights should produce good colors this year.

I think one of the few things I miss about Indiana is fall weather and the changes on the trees. I do like summer weather though - I even like San Antonio summer weather!

I'm looking forward to Halloween and have ordered my Sexy Devil costume for this year! I always loved Halloween because I like costumes and such. I can be a different persona for a night. One year for Halloween I didn't have money for a costume and I went as a wino - put a bottle in a paper bag and wore baggy clothes. The funny thing is that I went all out, in my actions as well, and many people at the party actually thought I was drunk even though I hadn't had anything to drink! Yeah, I can do the acting thing sometimes. It wasn't for Halloween, but one year I won the local Mensa's "Nerds Go Camping" costume competition, partly because of the way I acted, rather than just my costume!

Fall Equinox. Light and dark tipping the scales today.

Will the autumn bring good or evil for you?
I opened my doors to the "cool" AZ breeze this AM but my pool is down to a "chilly" 80!
I love the fall, the end of the heat and the monsoons and I can go to the mountains to see the trees changing colors.
