We wore these shorts for PE when I was in High School back in the 90s. I still remember the Soffe label. Most kids hated them mainly because ours were bright green, (like John Deere green) and had the school logo emblazoned in yellow on the right leg and we had to wear a matching yellow tee shirt.

When I was a senior they stopped making us buy gym clothes from the school logo and we could wear Umbros, Adidas shorts, etc. I kept mine for years though because they were so comfortable.
