I'm sure the military will be present for that one.
Strategically placed snipers and all, for "national security" purposes.
Also, you can count on an increased number of surveillance cameras in the staging area and march route, on the lookout for "persons of interest".
Don't forget the (armed) drones!

What would the military do? IF they were even allowed to be present, they would be bound by the Posse Comitatus Act. Security for events like this falls on the National Park Service Police, DC Police, and the myriad of other civilian law enforcement agencies that belong to the DC area.

As far as increased surveillance, you're probably right, but that's the climate we currently live in and has tacit approval from our government to do so.

Considering the current situation in Egypt with the muslim brotherhood, a military presence would be prudent, given their apparent inability to assemble and protest peacefully.
I can see each and every potential participant, (and possibly every onlooker) being screened for weapons, and explosives.
You can't be too careful. You never know who the extremists could be.
That even includes the "surgically implanted" bombs we have heard about.
This event could turn out to be al-Qaeda's big chance against Washington DC.
Aren't muslims known for the mantra - "Infidels must die"?
And, guess what...WE'RE the infidels!

I'd be more worried about the Christian extremists who will think its a good idea to get involved. There really is a portion of America that would love to get started on the next crusade.

Christians can't draw or hardly reference Muhammad with out an insane response of death threats and protesting all around the Muslim world (South Park incident)...yet they think it's a good idea to march...in Washington...on 9/11.

But I keep being told I'm intolerant because I'm white and think activities like this are not only a bad idea but a slap in the face.

You're f'ing citizens of the United States. March on the 4th of July to show your unity and solidarity. Not on the day that over 3,000 people dies at the hands of Muslim Extremists.

A quick Google search for this shows all the conservative blogs and news outlets freaking out over this. Nobody else is.

Do you seriously think a million Muslims are going to march on DC on 9/11?

From The Blaze
Not even the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history, is willing to attend the event due to AMPAC’s radical beliefs about 9/11.

Despite promising to “bring USA together,” the event, unsurprisingly, has had a hard time gaining support. Other than a few truther groups and one Pennsylvania Tea Party organization, the march has been widely rejected, according to HuffPost.

A Facebook page for the so-called “Million Muslim March” showed less than 10 people attending before it was taken down.

Why would it become dangerous?

Well it's obvious Fuzzy when minorities (racial, sexual, religious, you-name-it) get together well that only means trouble. Burnin and lootin time.

Florida pastor arrested before he could burn 2,998 Qurans on anniversary of 9/11 attacks

From the article:

MULBERRY, Fla. — Law enforcement arrested a Florida pastor Wednesday as he drove to a park to light nearly 3,000 Qurans on fire to protest the 2001 terrorist attacks.

Polk County sheriff’s deputies arrested Pastor Terry Jones, 61, and his associate pastor, Marvin Sapp Jr., 34, on felony charges as he drove a pickup truck towing a large barbecue-style grill filled with Qurans soaked in kerosene. He had said he was heading to a nearby park to burn 2,998 Qurans — one for every victim of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Sheriff’s officials said they would hold a news conference later Wednesday to discuss specific charges.

Mulberry’s mayor, along with area elected officials, a sheriff’s deputy and several Polk County residents have talked about the need to express love and tolerance for all faiths on Sept. 11.

Hahaha this is epic! I love it's complete failure.

Though not all was swell with it. I saw reports (on the *gasp* Blaze) about "Christians" taking the Westboro Baptist approach and creating horribly offensive and incendiary signs.

Glad to read about the pastor as well, Fuzzy.
