One of my favorite positions is a version of missionary where my legs are on his shoulders. I also like my legs pulled in (generally I do this, not him). But doggie is my other favorite position. They're both deep positions and that's why they're my favorites.

Part of the stigma with missionary may well come from porn. In porno flicks you see a lot of doggie and reverse cowgirl, presumably because that works best for camera angles.

I didn't think it did. Missionary and "cowgirl" (facing me) are the two positions I find myself and my partners in the most. Years ago other positions were considered wrong or immoral even by the people who were doing them. There was a post a while back and I said that I would never do a certain act and a poster responded with something like "you're probably Puritanical and only approve of missionary sex." That had nothing to do with it and it wasn't even true. It's what the couple prefers and are comfortable doing. If you watch porn, a couple will do like 5 different positions in 10 minutes. That doesn't mean your ordinary person is supposed to do that. And it has to be positions that are camera friendly to get the closeups, and some of them are not always easily achieved by regular folk. Porn people are kind of like gymnasts.
