Yeah, but that's where we keep the slings, the love benches and the whips.
EDIT: Oops. I am speaking in present tense of my salad daze. I dunno what they do now. Maybe the vises are kept there, close to the window, seven floors above the Mem Walkway.

I'm so happy that they have a walkway named in my honor.

You should use it.
Wear cowbells as you come.
And wear this hat ... but try to get the target on top.
K, mem?

I can't use my own walkway because I am not allowed in the Mod building and I wouldn't enter if I was allowed.

Now that you have disclosed the confidentiality concerning my walkway say your goodbyes before you are gone.

Um, 'allowed' to enter.
More like, 'instructed,' if you will forbid a moment of euphemism, mem.

Not confidential, the walkway is not part of the mod forum.
And really, mem ... it runs from Washington Square Park to Union Square.
(A little to the north of you, but spring's a great time in NY.)
Browning Safe Manufacturers™ and the Horn Anvil Company™ have been setting record sales.
Come one, come all ... come mem.

in an earlier post you said you don't know mitchy from adam and this ludacris statement proves it.

that's like saying the whistle blower at Enron should be silenced because she might also publish a list of employee's social security numbers with their home addresses.

mitchy acted on principle, there was NOTHING malicious in his actions.

IMO by being true to his principles and speaking out as he did: credibility with the site's administration became the sacrificial lamb.

(No animated Lamb icon, sorry folks)

not false at all,

it's an online COMMUNITY and it's governance should reflect the values of its' members, not those of a police state.

and what the hell kind of highly confidential, extremely sensitive information have you or any of us provided to this site, that makes you so paranoid about having it leaked?

The Colonels secret recipe? KFC!

anybody wanna bet how much longer THIS thread will exist?

well , either way, unlike the von trapps i'm not running for the hills.

real men stand their ground.

I understand Area 54 still has some room. Maybe it will wind up there? :alien:

That's taking it a bit to the extreme

How about ...The Mods are good people that provide a service that is appreciated for the most part, but that seem to have a hard time dealing with looking back at their mistakes, who "disappeared Mitchymo" because he expressed a disappointment in how "some" of them were conducting them selves...?

There ya go. That's more like it. I think the heat from this issue is starting to have an ill effect on people.

Have you ever seen Rob_E and me together in the same room?
Huh?

Don't be surprised if Elvis is up in there as well.

The runway lights are being installed later in the week.

"Pecker is correct in stating that Mitchy broke no ToS by stating that he was uncomfortable on the team however he did break the moderator rules by discussing how others voted and his own interpretation of their reasons, which by all accounts are incorrect.

The decision to remove him was based on his having crossed the line in discussing the voting of the team. If faith is lost in a member of the team, or ex member of the team to the point where confidential information is being posted on the main forum, there is no other choice but to remove said member.

The mod forum contains reports, PMs and emails sent to us by members both former and current, many of which contain personal information of those members and members they are discussing. It would be wholly irresponsible to knowingly leave someone on the board who has shown that he can't be trusted knowing that two weeks down the line when x member annoys/upsets them, they could be next in line to have all of their mod dealings discussed openly with the membership, including things like full real names, places of work, names of relatives and the like.

The rules regarding confidentiality are well known, he knew there would be consequences for breaking those rules."

But Mitchymo did not divulge any specific actions by any specific mod regarding any specific member.

It would be understandable if such details had been published, but he has a right to express his opinion (like every other former mod) about his experience and use appropriate judgment regarding any member information that he agreed to never discuss once becoming a mod himself.

This situation is quite confusing and saddening. NDLKT

I see that lpsg has a clearly set out process whereby a banned member may email the moderators and asked to be unbanned. It sets out that the decision is made by the moderators. It also sets out that the views of the members do not feed into the process. Fair enough.

It seems to me that Mitchymo could be proactive in seeking a resolution to this issue by contacting the moderators and asking to be reinstated. I accept that there is the view that they've just kicked him out, so why should they reinstate? But group dynamics are often not this simple. A suitably contrite Mitchymo may well be a candidate for reinstatement. After all they've made their point.

Such a scenario would mean that this thread, now approaching 200 posts, could be put to bed. Which would probably help us all.

Yes, a satisfactory arrangement between the mods and mitchy would be a suitable way to end this, for all parties involved.

Ok, Mitchymo knows exactly what he can do, but is not interested at this time (can't say as I blame him). He'll come back and work things out in a few weeks, but for now he's taking a needed break.

He is of course disappointed in how this was all handled, but he'll get over it.

Says to tell all of his "friends" Hi

 I'm surprised to see some of the content in this thread :frown1:
