"Pecker is correct in stating that Mitchy broke no ToS by stating that he was uncomfortable on the team however he did break the moderator rules by discussing how others voted and his own interpretation of their reasons, which by all accounts are incorrect.

The decision to remove him was based on his having crossed the line in discussing the voting of the team. If faith is lost in a member of the team, or ex member of the team to the point where confidential information is being posted on the main forum, there is no other choice but to remove said member.

The mod forum contains reports, PMs and emails sent to us by members both former and current, many of which contain personal information of those members and members they are discussing. It would be wholly irresponsible to knowingly leave someone on the board who has shown that he can't be trusted knowing that two weeks down the line when x member annoys/upsets them, they could be next in line to have all of their mod dealings discussed openly with the membership, including things like full real names, places of work, names of relatives and the like.

The rules regarding confidentiality are well known, he knew there would be consequences for breaking those rules."

how is it that stronzo got back in so many times, but mitchy is gone permanently? (if it is not permanent, i will be much happier, knowing he will return)

he brought a lot to this site, and to me, was always fun and well worth getting to know.

i haven't been spending much time on the site due to a 160 pound distraction that wandered into my life a while ago, but when i do stop by it just seems like the whole thing has been dumbed down and there just isnt' much intelligent life left. (excluding those i've had real exchanges with on here, of course, and you know who you are)

the passing of jason els left a big void, and seemed to mark a turning point. and when mods start banning people like mitchy who were significant contriubtors, and kept the threads interesting, i have to agree with others who have suggested that they're killing this site.

hope they reconsider, mitchy is a good soul.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph you banned Principessa for racist content/disruption then a thread- http://www.lpsg.org/172877-i-want-change-my-name.html is formed. Moderators were part of it! The thread wasn't closed or deleted- and I don't feel it should be. It does however make me question how the axe swings up in your pristine sanctuary. Ban one for racist content, leave a thread with similar content intact.

In the thread where there's a discussion of Principessa being banned, a former moderator several times speaks of leaks and favoritism among the moderators. He's still here- as he should be. mitchymo as far as I can find, never divulged a name. Just more blatant favoritsm being done by the moderators. Ban one for speaking ill of the mods, leave the other untouched. Maybe, just maybe, mitchymo didn't know the rules. Maybe, just maybe, the bylaws got changed as he was exiting the Moderator Booth. Perhaps, he wasn't fully comprehending of the rule, and why was the ban done in the dead of night? Was he given a proper warning to not do it again, and was the post then deleted to keep things safe and clean?

Coming soon- a spelling error will be cause for ban (of certain people), brownie points for others.

It's always a good idea for your friends here to be on another site also in case something bad goes down. Or at least have their e-mail to contact them.

Mitchy was pissed at the princepessa banning and dropped details about that, but from what i have ever read of his posts, he was not one to get personal or pissy when attacked. If anything, he approached the relevtively few, if any, flame battles with a very mature nature. I doubt he would ever drop any more details about people that he saw in the mod forum. in fact, i would be shocked if he did.

He dropped the ball, but he isnt the sort of person to hold grudges and sling mud. He should be temp banned maximum.

I think a permanent ban wasn't necessary. Give him a warning or so. Come on, people like cigarbabe, Principessa and many many others were multiple times banned for a short period and because mitchymo was a former moderator he get banned immidiatly. That is insane and unfair. It can be he didn't said nice things about the mods, but so what. There is something major wrong with all of this. Mitch is a great guy, always friendly. No wonder that people leave the board.

I guess FREEDOM OF SPEECH is just a conveniently used phrase and NOTHING more ?
