I like Mitch. I don't know why he isn't on my friends list.

I quite like the current Mod crew (inc. the snakey one). They don't make a big deal about being Mods, which has not always been the case, they just get on with the 99% of crap that they have to.

The 1% is important though, and this is where we have the opportunity to develop.

We can sort of separate people broadly into types for whom authority is appealing and types who flout authority, or for whom authority is unappealing. Some are the rule bringers and some are the rule breakers. I think Mitchy was neither, that's why most of us are still waiting and wondering what he did that would have gotten him sacked.

As the OP states he was just miscast and apparently misunderstood.

Maybe we should divide it up in threes then. The rule bringers, the rule breakers and those who are perhaps possessed of the faculties to take care of themselves neither submitting nor rebelling.

Something is wrong here. A site this big should have at least 20 Mods. Most other sites that I post at have huge Mod to member ratio and this drama never happens there.

Respectfully, I disagree.

My favourite site is dudesnude, it's been around for a long time, is extremely popular, and has a high percentage of truly stunning users. It is run by just one man, who actively maintains and contributes to his forum in a positive way, and demonstrates repeatedly that he is a capable of consistent fair play and even-handedness, all of which evince his highly evolved ethics. This undoubtedly is the reason for the sites popularity and longevity.

LPSG may be suffering from having a set of moderators who constitute a hegemony. It might be better to have just one moderator (if he's good), or a whole lot more ( if they're lousy). Political analogy: Alexander the Great, versus the Australian Government. Right now, do we have something resembling a tin-pot totalitarian Communist Committee?

I may well get banned for that comment, but it will just prove my point.

And now back to Oh_yeah, so my response to novice, was not me being petty or stupid, I was making a response to something in which he may have been seen as being petty.

The followup response from novice, to my mention that the post he cited was nearly 7 months old was-

I've watched Mem grow here and become a solid member (sounds awfully perverted when I say it that way). At one time, he and I butted heads (I can't stop sounding perverted this morning); he's matured (some day I might as well) and he has become a stronger part of the board, giving reasoned responses.

Well said Agus! It is true, this site is about friendship and lately only the best are banned over here. So yeah, the only reason I'm here is for the few good friends that I made and that is it. The rest that I had at first here when I joined lpsg I've found on other places.
In the two years I'm a member here it has changed quite a bit. And not always positive.
