message received loud and clear. I'll STFU

my mistake for holding a mirror up to it, i already knew the answer, but thanks for responding on cue. it's been illuminating

I"ve asked the mods to reopen Nick8's thread, i never intended it to be a casualty from my inquiry.

Sorry I came on too harsh Thad. I don't think you are small minded.

Please realize we are not under any illusions about our own infallibility or importance. The threads in question are tricky ones to moderate. You have a very public and current topic about sexual abuse of children. We as adults should be able to discuss it. But due to the nature of this forum and it's need to stay legal and off the radar certain interested parties, we have to restrict our own speech. So we try to balance the speech and wanting to discuss, against the legal requirements and wishes of the site owner. 100% guarantee that not every one is happy with the outcomes.

Right now, for everyone's information, the Mod forum is stacked to the hilt with reports and counter reports and he said, she said stories. Far more than normal. Most of them are legit reports and we will go through every one of them and have some back and forth about them and have to cross reference the with the other guy's report and read the thread and check the registrations and post history and previous infractions and the IP addresses and come to a conclusion which will piss off someone. Not really asking you not report. But it would help if ya'll could practice a little self-moderation.

Personally, for anyone who doesn't like the way I do this work, with me you get back what you give me, whether it's in "real life" or as a mod.
