Bruce Campbell is the MAN!

Yes, I actually met him in real life twice! Once at the book signing for his book
"If chins could Kill" and the other time he visited my school while location scouting.
Great guy, very humble and funny.

I am trying to find the trailer for his new movie "My Name Is Bruce".

i've really liked all the Saw movies...they walked the line of gore and psychological thriller...Jigsaw became one of my top villains ever; still below Hannibal Lecter and all, but up pretty high on the list.

Hostel disappointed me because i went into it thinking it would be a bit more cerebral, and it ended up just being an hour of drugs & tits followed by thirty minutes of boring violence...not that i have a problem with drugs, tits & violence, but it was just tedious.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE NEIL MARSHALL...Dog Soldiers & The Descent are both fucking awesome. i normally dont get scared while watching a movie, but The Descent had my heart pounding...Marshall has an amazing sense of timing and suspense.

Japanese and Korean horror movies are usually really good. off the top of my head, check out: Three Extremes, Marebito, Ab-normal Beauty.

Lol "The Descent was filmed inside Bridget Neilson's Vagina" -Lisa Lampinelli.

Btw: on Wolf Creek.. I had found a few really good sites on his case as well but it was when the movie had first come out.

Not a fan of horror, esp that zombie-slasher-people-killed-off-one-by-one-in-a-house-they-just-can't-leave kind of stuff. BORing!

The only thing I remember thinking was pretty cool was "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (the Donald Sutherland remake, which I understand they've remade yet again - ain't nuthin original anymore?) and the original "Psycho".

i liked "april fools day" because it was a prank to begin with.....if i told u anymore u would know the end. "happy birthday to me" was a great horror twist....keeps you guessing and you dont know who it is until the last second. karen black was amazing .....just her and a doll and she does all the acting to scare you.....she was great!!!! she was also great in "burnt offerings" as for gore......it was something when i was young .....but now i know it is all fake......soooo sometimes it is stupid to see how much fake blood is used.

"The Hills have Eyes" remake was actually pretty good ( don't bother with the sequel that came out a few months back....it's awful).
But it one nasty piece of work, even for a horror vet like me.

You really liked The Hills Have Eyes? Another movie I was really truly disappointed with.. and the sequel... well, you know the saying.

I guess I had no expectations when I rented it, and as they say low expectations do not lead to dissapointment.

But you are right, they are far from great ( especially the second...I mean WTF).

It was pretty sad... I think I actually fell asleep.
I have high expectations for everything... this is why I'm continually let down in life LOL

I don't watch them often, because they suck so bad.....

...but Rob Zombies "Devils Rejects" was the shit. It was a good, horrible story, and that made it an awesome horror movie.

I didn't know teh new Halloween was his, perhaps I will check it out. I guess I need ot see house of a thousand corpses too.

OH MAN I FREAKIN' LOOOVED "Devil's Rejects." It was completely shocking and crazy. So was "House of 1,000 Corpses."

I too am not really loving many of the new horror films that have been released. Too much emphasis on the FX and not enough on tapping into deep rooted fears of people. That's why Saw is one of those real thrillers that everyone loves...it scares you by tapping those deep fears that you try not to think about because if you do you'll end up pissing yourself in the carport walking back to your car at night.

Although it wasn't really scary at all, I liked the concept of the Exorcism of Emily Rose. The idea that her whole ordeal was a matter of perception was genius.

Oh, and for the person who said that Suspiria was their favorite movie...I'm wondering "why?" The scariest thing about that movie is the fact that they used dayglow red blood.

Another classic horror film I forgot to mention is The Changeling with George C. Scott. It's not a 'jump out of your seat' type movie, but there are some really creepy scenes. Also, has anyone ever heard of "The Haunting of Julia."? It's an old (1970's old) British ghost haunting story that stars Mia Farrow. I believe it might also be known as "Full Circle."

I've heard of the Mia Farrow one but never saw it myself...
You know what was a huge let down..
OPEN WATER...

God, they could have done so much with that movie.

I also agree with whoever said that the Blaire Witch Project was well done.
I really enjoyed that and actually own it.
