Anyway - I still think the product is a bit pricey if you're not sure it's going to suit. It's not like it's something you can flog on ebay if you decide you're not keen is it LOL

Yeech! Though you might be surprised what some people will try to sell. A couple years ago I was in Greece on holiday and at a flea market saw a dildo awaiting a new owner. I was so shocked I nearly tripped myself.

I've tried the Instead Cup (shown in link) because it was recommended for cleaner sex during menstruation. It sits over the cervix the same as a diaphram would. The problems I found were that if it gets bumped, it will spill, it can be dislodged, the ring is a relatively firm plastic so if the guy is long he may not enjoy the obstacle (ouch). As a purely menstrual aid, I didn't like them. Too much fishing around for my patience levels at that time and the chance of doing so without getting your fingers covered if not by blood then by your natural fluids is non existant. I don't want to deal with that in a public restroom and I shudder to think about another woman touching the handles, etc. after having done so.

FWIW, I'm not too keen on the o.b. tampons either. I like to keep my fingers clean, "no muss, no fuss".

LOL @ those websites!!

It reminds me of when I was a kid and my mum came into the kitchen to find me skidding around the tiled floor with her sanitary towels stuck to the soles of my feet, was loads of fun! haha

With regard to o.b. tampons. I use a brand of applicatorless (is that a word?) tampons, lil-lets. I prefer them because they swell sideways, unlike tampax which just seem to extend lengthways. So, my brand offer a little more security against accidents.

I bet any man who reads this thread really regrets clicking it! haha

I never really understood why so many guys make such a huge deal out of this... in reference to the subject heading warning men to stay away. Seems like women have enough body-image issues without us (men) freaking out every time anyone mentions anything even vaguely related to your normal and natural monthly cycle. Granted, it's no more an appropriate topic for dinner conversation than say... favorite brand of toilet tissue or best way to trim your nose hairs... but it's still not something that deserves the type of reaction that a lot of men exhibit whenever the subject comes up.

I'm with you Kotchanski, like periods aren't hassle enough without all that clatting about... by the way, have been wondering for a while, is that your name or a reference to Red Dwarf? (god I miss that show).

And NineInch, you're absolutely right, but thank you for saying it x I only put the warning because I've noticed some pretty vitriolic posts from a couple of gay guys when vaginas were shown in a video, so figured they'd be particularly revolted by graphic discussions on our menstrual bleeding! lol

You are wanted here - I only suggested boys not enter because they're often a bit 'icky' about these sort of things.

So I have to ask, if your girlfriend dislikes them so much why is she using them, the environmental issues?

She no longer uses them actually she tried them out thinking it would be a cheaper more efficient method but found it not to be so.
