So my PA is now 6 weeks old and I reckon it's been completely healed since 3 weeks , it's given me no trouble whatsoever. I thought that I might be ready to up gauge at 8 weeks (currently have a 2.3mm BCR) but the piercing is showing no signs of stretching up naturally and I do play with it quite a bit. Will my piercer be able to stretch it up to the next size for me? I know you can get tapers for ears but can they be used on a PA, and how would that work? Any advice gratefully received, I don't want to rush the issue but equally it seems so well healed that I can't see it stretching without a bit of help.

Thanks

Until you wear a ring with a bit of heft to it, the piercing won't enlarge itself.

Also, there seems to be a 'tipping point' size which you need to reach and until then you may need your piercer to up-size the piercing.

I don't think tapers would be very successful, considering the location of a PA, too much rubbing and movement - they'd come adrift and probably be quite painful.

You can achieve the same results yourself with some patience and a bit experimentation; buy some larger rings, do it yourself, just don't be too ambitious, just go 1mm at a time.

A long hot bath to relax and soften, and some lubrication helps.

6 Weeks is hardly enough time for your PA to heal. Just be patient and i would give it 6 more weeks. when you strech it, it is like it is a brand new piercing. you need to so alot of aftercare and SS soakes again. If you choose to use a taper, do not over do it. If you feel ANY discomfort at all...stop. It also helps to draw a nice hot bath and do it in there.

Don't rush it - above advice is good advice. I waited 90-days after first piercing to move to next size and I had my piercer do it. His advice then was to gently pull on it when in the shower and to let it stretch naturally - not everyone will go at same pace. After the 2nd one, I increased size about every 6-9mos until at present size of 4g. Have had mine for 14 years and enjoy wearing it occasionally - like a special piece of jewelry. enjoy yours! Don't rush it.

Bingly: I stretched mine myself. I bought tapers from Tribalectic. I sat in a hot bath for about 30 min, used plenty of lube and worked the taper through over a period of about an hour. The stretch from 10ga (original) to 8GA was more painful than the original piercing. Even then, it was not excruciating. On later stretches - currently at 2 GA were not as difficult. I think the advice that stretches from the heftier gauges are easier is correct. I allowed about 4 months minimum between upsizings. Have had it for 10 years.

Good advice here. Be patient. You don't want to rush it and wind up with a blowout on your dick.

Just be patient and make sure it is completely healed. I was pierced at 10 and stretched to 8 at that time. It took me 6 months to get to 6 and I'm at 2 now. Go slow and stay healthy.
