Do you think people used to have more sex before TV existed. With TV and the internet , people are glued to their TVs and , computers/Laptops and phones and aren't having as much sex as the people who lived when they didn't exist.

I would wager no. Why? Social norms of the time and limited birth control compared to later times. Popping out kids every time one had sex was a built in cock block one would assume. But that's just my view.

I think people perhaps had a more positive perspective on their sex lives in yrs past as they didnt really have as many sources by which to compare against...I don't necessarily think that translated to more or better sex in those yrs past though.

I think we're looking at this from the point of view of people who have always had TV, but back before TV was a thing, people had different things to occupy their time and weren't just sitting around. Just like how most of us (including myself) remember a time before every household had a computer. Today when the internet is down, it feels like there's nothing to do, but before I had a computer, I was always occupied with something.

However, there were a lot of LARGE families back in the old days lol.... and a lot of the time when you look at their birth dates and do the math, they were conceived between November and March, when a massive blizzard would have been likely lol

Pretty sure Gay sex, was less as the print media/ TV media and internet have been a catalyst in the sexual revolution / evolution.
Imagine pre internet , no Craigslist, No infinite supply of porn; and as this would be pre 1930, gay / lesbian activities would have been deeply closeted ; and illegal punishable by imprisonment

As far as Hetero sex, again I would wager less than now. Pre 1930, most of America was still agrarian based , up at 6AM and work till sun down. half a day on Saturday. Farmers had large families, to help with the farm work, but that implies, the wife gets pregnant, carries a child for 9 months, with a few months / years break before the next child. It was not out of the ordinary for a wife to assist with farm work, in addition to raising children; and running a home ( Tired wife == no sex )

Men / Women lived a lot shorter lives , pre 1930 , A person in good health with access to modern healthcare lived 55 - 60 years of age . Those who lived in poverty / miners / rural - farmers many barely lived to 50. By age 45, you were probably assisting your children to raise and care for their children, as children often, settled close to home / same home town . The 50+ year old sex goddess, we see everyday now, ( LPSG has many ) were very few and far between

Imagine in 1930 or earlier, no unions, so you worked 10- 12 hours a day . Sex was a dirty word ; and this site would not exist; and all of its members would be in some government database as subversive ( at least in America )

I will say no in answer to the posed question of more sex then or now. There was way to much to do with hard physical work and raising the family, a large number of families were still engaged in some type of farming. Social and religious norms were that sex was for procreation not for recreation in the days before the internet and television. There were more babies born then because there was a need for a large cheap labor force to run the farm. Children did not always live very long because of many maladies that are under control today As late as the 1960s sex was not as front of mind as it seems to be in todays world.

No I'd say less mainly because the internet along allows people to connect with other people in a far more direct way. The amount of women I've met from fetlife alone is proof.

That doesn't even take into account sex workers that use the internet to advertise themselves that wouldn't have been able to reach we many people with out the internet.

And tv and media just based in sex in some way because sex sells.

Yeah internet and apps alone account for way more sex.

You just have access to way more partners. Especially same-sex, decades ago you'd have to hit certain districts or bathhouses cuz there was such a stigma. Nowadays you can just log on grindr n fuck someone that same day if you choose.

Facebook alone gives access to so many ppl, its bigger than any dating site. Honestly right now theres about 30 new women I could fuck from just FB if i wanted to push the pedal to the metal, both married or single. And thats not even taking into account Tinder, POF, Bumble, Badoo etc. I just dont have the time or energy nowadays like when I was in my 20s lol. I like to keep a steady 2-3 chicks

Ya first person I met off Fet life was about 2 1/5 years ago.

That or they live too far away and are not visiting the city. And aside from my fwb and girls I've already met haven't really got to see anyone new

I'm guessing that people had sex just as often as they do now. Given that often times you worked or share cropped especially in rural towns.

After the first few years of marriage sex diminishes for most couples anyway. There wasn't a birth control pill back then and latex condoms were produced in the 1920's most average people especially in rural areas couldn't afford them. Money was a scarce commodity for many certainly more so after the depression.
